More than expected.
A must experience. Amazing! Our pilot was beautiful and friendly. Our guide, Earl, was absolutely fantastic. He was so knowledgeable of , well, everything! He made all of us feel comfortable to speak and ask questions. He was amazing!!!
Response from the operator: Hi Melinda, Thank you so much for the wonderful review. And we agree, Earl is the best guide in the business. We hope to see you again. Very best regards, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners

Book at the beginning of your holiday as it might not happen or book elsewhere
Adventure Photo Tours rang a week before to advise they couldn’t get a helicopter- we booed 6 months ago! Changed tour to the following day and agreed to provide pick up time the day before. Didn’t hear anything so chased it and they said they couldn’t do the tour at all. After expressing my disappointment they managed to book us onto a large group tour and booked the helicopter (which allegedly they had already booked us on). They cancelled on Viator and process the refund and took payment over the phone for the new trip. It all worked out ok in the end and the trip was amazing but I would have been gutted if we couldn’t do it as that was the reason for the trip more than Vegas itself. I would recommend booking with Sweetours who accommodated us with 12 hours notice.
Response from the operator: Hi Tina, Thank you for the review. We are delighted that our partner Sweettours took good care of you, they are a good company. We take care of their customers when they have issues also. It's the way things work here in the tourism industry. Everybody pitches in to make sure the customer is happy. Sorry it was confusing for you but we got you out which was the main objective. Glad you had a fun time. Will & Donna - Owners

Excellent Day Trip with Earl!
We had a great experience with Earl! He was very in knowledgable and so kind to our family on our tour yesterday. He was patient with our kids and took time to answer their questions. He joined us for lunch and Eagle Point and we enjoyed his company. Earl had so many wonderful recommendations, down to where we should have dinner after our tour with our kids. We took his recommendation and loved eating at the Peppermill for our last dinner in Las Vegas for the week. Earl felt like part of our family yesterday and it was clear that everyone feels that way about him. He knew everyone at all our stops by name and they knew him too. We will look for a tour with Earl on our next trip to Vegas.
Response from the operator: Hi Whitney, Thank you for your wonderful review and so happy you had a fun day with Earl, he is special indeed. Very best regards, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners

If you a looking for the perfect tour, this is it. "Captain" Kirk was our guide and he was amazing!. He was friendly and informative. He knew all the best places to see and even pointed us to the restaurant we ended up having dinner at (it was excellent as well). If you are looking for an effortless and memorable tour of some of the most iconic spots in the US this is it! Thank you Kirk!
Response from the operator: Hi, and thank you for your review. We agree, taking the ground tour to the Grand Canyon then adding the best part of the helicopter tour when there, allows you to see all the great places along the way. It's the best choice and more affordable. Very best regards, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Grand Canyon West Rim Small-Group Tour with Optional Helicopter: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Las Vegas.
How much does Grand Canyon West Rim Small-Group Tour with Optional Helicopter cost?
+
Prices start at $353 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Las Vegas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Grand Canyon West Rim Small-Group Tour with Optional Helicopter take?
+
Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Las Vegas is not rushed.
Is Grand Canyon West Rim Small-Group Tour with Optional Helicopter worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 167 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Las Vegas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Grand Canyon West Rim Small-Group Tour with Optional Helicopter?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Grand Canyon West Rim Small-Group Tour with Optional Helicopter suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Grand Canyon West Rim Small-Group Tour with Optional Helicopter?
+
Around 58 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Las Vegas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Las Vegas and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Grand Canyon West Rim Small-Group Tour with Optional Helicopter start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Las Vegas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Las Vegas?
+
Las Vegas sells two trips at once: the Strip after dark, and the red-rock desert that starts twenty minutes past the last casino. Helicopter runs to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam half-days and Red Rock Canyon drives all leave early, while show tickets, speakeasy crawls and high-roller dining fill the evening. Outty Ranking weighs operator reliability heavily here, because the gap between a well-run desert tour and a coach-and-queue version is enormous. On Outty we rank every Las Vegas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group: Valley of Fire Half Day Tour from Las Vegas, Small Group Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, 7 Magic Mountains VIP Tour, Grand Canyon West, Hoover Dam Stop, Breakfast, Lunch & Skywalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Las Vegas?
+
October to April. Summer highs above 105F make midday outdoor tours punishing. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Las Vegas?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
