Unprofessional guides and rushed tour

Exceptionally unprofessional trip - book with somebody else if your booking states Andrew or Chris are your ‘guides’. They provide no interesting information about the places you visit. Stops were extremely short resulting in them beeping the horn of the bus and shouting you to come back before the stated time. They lacked any level of customer service and I was referred to as ‘Gucci’ all day from Andrew (even after ignoring the rudeness and showing my disappointment towards him). Chris singled me out constantly throughout the day yelling my name across parking lots, at the canyons and during photo stops. He didn’t do it to anybody else - it was so very strange and honestly - very uncomfortable! Utterly bizarre, unprofessional and rude behaviours. Photos were taken abruptly, at strange angles and were often blurred as Chris jumped around whilst taking them. Chris announced I love you repeatedly whist taking some of us at the canyon which was extremely unsettling! Andrew mumbles into a microphone at times - we had no idea what he was talking about until he wanted tips. He then projected his voice very clearly for all to hear stating there was a $70 minimum tip. I was singled out in front of the bus full or people again and was asked if I understand how tipping works. Unacceptable. They received nothing from the majority of the tour bus as they were consistently unprofessional the entire day and lacked any customer service skills. Andrew even had the audacity to yell at me across the busy lobby at the hotel to ask where his tip envelope was. Much to his disappointment I used this opportunity to educate him on showing respect to customers, informed him of his areas for improvement and reinforced he won’t be receiving extra money after causing so much distress. The company have assured us they will ‘provide training’ - from our experience no amount of training could correct the multiple issues we experienced. We have received no apology which leads us to believe they are known for these behaviours and this may not be an isolated incident. We requested to move to Desiree’s bus as she was from the same company at the same spots and was absolutely fantastic - unfortunately her bus was full. She took excellent photos for us and was so professional and polite. A true credit to the company! Thank you Des for capturing our memories for us - you were amazing! This further highlighted how awful our tour was in comparison to Desiree’s tour. Antelope was the highlight because mania guides stayed at the bus and a Navajo guide took over - very knowledgeable and excellent tour of the canyon! A refreshing break from the two disrespectful people we were unfortunately ‘touring’ with!

Not the Photography Tour That Was Promised

The places you visit are absolutely breathtaking, but unfortunately the service falls far short of expectations. The tour is advertised as a photography tour, yet there is never enough time to actually take photos. You’re constantly rushed from one stop to the next, making it difficult to enjoy the scenery or capture the experience. The guides provide very little information about the places you visit. In reality, this feels much more like a transportation service than a guided tour. The driving style is not particularly comfortable, and the vehicle itself is far from comfortable as well. It also seemed that the staff were more focused on collecting tips than on providing a great customer experience. Finally, they charge an additional USD 100 for admission to the national parks but do not provide an official receipt. What is even more concerning is that none of the parks ever asked for proof of this payment, leaving its purpose unclear.

This fee is collected separately because it is not included in the tour price. In many cases, park rangers do not stop every vehicle to verify payment individually, as commercial tour operators report and remit these fees according to the required procedures. We understand that this may have seemed unclear, and we'll work on explaining this process more transparently before the tour. Finally, we're disappointed to hear that you felt our team was overly focused on tips. Tips are always voluntary and should never overshadow the quality of service. Good

I traveled solo, unfortunately all the group was Korean so almost the tour was in Korean language, I don't like this part. But we traveled safely, the other new tour guy from Chicaco was pretty nice, I could have a good time. I just wanted the tour in English not Korean.

Mania Tours: Exceptional guides and stunning sights

We had an amazing time on the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, and Horseshoe Bend Photo Tour with Mania Tours on September 24, 2025! The tour was well-organized, with comfortable transport and all admissions included. Our guide, Mary, was incredibly friendly and her photography skills were outstanding, helping us capture stunning shots, especially at Antelope Canyon. Our driver and guide, Jim, was equally friendly and made the long drives smooth and safe with his excellent driving skills. Highly recommend this tour for an unforgettable adventure!
