Okay...
I was the only one on the tour, and I only got 1 tapas at the end. My expectation vs what I actually got were very different. The picture on display for the tour on TripAdvisor is misleading, I thought it was going to be multiple tapas restaurants, but it’s just a Segway tour and then you get one free tapas at the end. Would not recommend.
Response from the operator: Good morning Seth, We're so sorry to hear about your experience, let me clear this misunderstanding. The tasting that comes with this tour includes an assorted cheese platter with two different kinds of "manchego" cheese, two different kinds of ham, (Iberian and serrano), and three different cold-cuts: lomo (pork-back), chorizo and salchichón (iberian spicy sausage, similar to salami) all of this paired to Spanish D.O wine (rioja or ribera), or any other soft drink or water, it is only one tapa since the main focus is the segway tour. We do have a tapas tour that includes multiple restaurants, but's only by walking since it's nor doable with segways, in this tour the main focus is the food as well as the gastronomic explanation of all the tapas. I hope that this explanation made ir clearer for you,and I hope that you enjoyed the segway tour with our guide. Sincerely,

Fab experience
This was a great activity - we were a large group split into 2 with two guides. Both guides were entertaining & knowledgable. Was just the right amount of time at 2 hours, with some lovely sights to see, great picture opportunity. With 8 people in both groups the guides coped well, making sure everyone was ok. Very good experience, & would defo use segway to experience a tour of a city again. The gourmet tapas was EXCELLENT! The staff at this restaurant were great & we stayed for drinks and more food at our own cost as so lovely
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! ⭐🇪🇸 We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the experience and that our guides made the tour both entertaining and informative. Managing large groups while ensuring everyone feels comfortable and well looked after is something we really care about, so it’s great to know the team delivered. We’re also happy you found the 2-hour tour to be the perfect length and that you enjoyed the sights, photo opportunities, and the Segway experience as a fun way to explore the city. And of course, we love hearing that the gourmet tapas were a highlight — the team at the restaurant will be delighted to know you stayed on to enjoy even more! Thank you for choosing us, and we’d be delighted to welcome you again on another Segway tour in the future. Live the extraordinary!

Good tour, our guide gave great...

Good tour, our guide gave great information. There was no Tapas. After we were done he sent us to the restaurant across the street and we were on our own. Very disappointing. The Segway part was fun though.

Fantastic experience and amazing tour!
We had a great time. The tour is a great way to see the beautiful town of Madrid. We had an excellent tour guide and instructor who had us trained and ready in minutes and we had the most fun travelling all through the beautiful town of Madrid through the lanes and bi-lanes and looking at all the breath taking views.
Response from the operator: Hello Rashmi, Thank you verymuch for your commentary. We hope to see you again some a next time in Madrid.

The Segway tour was fantastic albeit...

The Segway tour was fantastic albeit cold. We got to see so many neat places in Madrid and our tour guide was very kind. He even lent our goddaughter his gloves since the temperature had dipped so low that morning. This was a great New Years Day experience!

The tapas portion was rather pointless. We thought that maybe our wonderful Segway guide was coming with us, but it was more of a handoff without explanation. The restaurant Taste Gallery seemed less than interested that we were there. They were pretty aloof and the service was awful. This surprised me because the one drink and two tapas were less than filling, so if we had been treated a little better, we would have stayed for a bigger lunch and paid for a few more samples. Instead, we just ate what was included in our tour and left.

So overall, the Segway portion was fantastic just be prepared for the weather, and I would skip the tapas piece if the Segway tour is available alone. And do a different tapas tour instead.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re truly glad to hear that you enjoyed the Segway tour and that it became a memorable way to start the New Year in Madrid. Knowing that our guide took extra care—especially in such cold weather—really reflects the spirit and professionalism we strive to offer on every tour. We appreciate your feedback regarding the tapas portion as well. Your comments are valuable to us, as they help us review and refine how we coordinate the end of the experience to ensure it feels as seamless and welcoming as the tour itself. Our goal is always to complement the ride with a pleasant gastronomic moment, and insights like yours help us continue improving. Thank you again for highlighting the Segway experience, which remains one of our guests’ favorite ways to discover the city. We’d love to welcome you back in the future—perhaps on another route or experience—so you can continue exploring Madrid in a unique and enjoyable way.

Why this scores 50
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Gourmet edition: Segway tour and tapas: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does Gourmet edition: Segway tour and tapas cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Gourmet edition: Segway tour and tapas take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is Gourmet edition: Segway tour and tapas worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Gourmet edition: Segway tour and tapas?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Gourmet edition: Segway tour and tapas suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 1.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Gourmet edition: Segway tour and tapas?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Gourmet edition: Segway tour and tapas start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
