No access to the closed garden on Mondays. We were certainly outside but stuck in a little corner without life. Very expensive meals for very basic dishes. Advertising is false it is not at the level of the promised service.

Response from the operator: Dear guest, thanks for your feedback, it will definitely help us improve. If you need to communicate further with us, do not hesitate to reach out. Best regards, Lucrezia - Venice Tours

Don’t waste time or money ripoff

This is a waste of time and money. The gardens to stroll for nice. The lunch was inside only couple of tables outside not even immersed gardens. Food off chain restaurant menu only a couple of items allowed and way over priced.

Misleading - a lunch at a normal cafe but with a restricted menu

This experience felt misleading. It was just a lunch at a regular cafe (Illy cafe) near some of the hot spots in Venice, but you were restricted in what you were allowed to get off the menu (only cicchetti for appetizer, and only pastas for the main course). You could have just as easily walked in, sat down, and ordered, without having to reserve this ahead of time, as everyone else who was there had done. The location and views are pretty nice, but aren't different than many other places in Venice (and in fact, it is nicer to sit out directly on the waterfront rather than set off from it). You were next to, but not in, the royal gardens. It also felt like the waiters didn't exactly know how to handle us, and we didn't receive what we ordered at first. That being said, we were late in arriving, and they were nice in accommodating us. But if I could do this over, I would definitely not choose this again.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, we are deeply sorry for your personal comment, please consider that on product page it's clearly written the menù for the activity. At your disposal for further information. Regards.

The Royal lunch at the Royal garden!

The meal was sumptuous. The helpings were generous. The quality of the meal was excellent. The pastas were perfect and so were the desserts.

Response from the operator: Thanks for the review

    It didn't happen! Very disappointing!

We arrived at the shop where the wine tasting was to take place and the owner had no record of our reservation and was quite rude when we showed him our confirmation. We were two couples and he also said that, even if he had our reservation, he could only have two people at a time because of Covid protocols, so Viator couldn't have booked us because he would have refused to take a booking for four people. We had to leave without having the experience and he told us to contact Viator for a refund - he had no interest in assisting us.

Response from the operator: Dear Vicky, I'm sorry for the inconvenience you had with your booking. for your info, in our system the reservation for some reason was cancelled and the owner of the place after checking the no-active reservation didn't provide the service. At disposal for further information.

Gourmet Casanova Lunch near St. Mark’s Square: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Gourmet Casanova Lunch near St. Mark’s Square cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Gourmet Casanova Lunch near St. Mark’s Square take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Gourmet Casanova Lunch near St. Mark’s Square worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 41 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.1/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Gourmet Casanova Lunch near St. Mark’s Square?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Gourmet Casanova Lunch near St. Mark’s Square suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Gourmet Casanova Lunch near St. Mark’s Square?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Gourmet Casanova Lunch near St. Mark’s Square start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
