Thank you for an awesome tour!

We had a really fun time visiting each of the sights and learning the history of the Baekje Kingdom, which was further enriched by the histories of the two towns Gongju and Buyeo. Each of the sights is definitely worth seeing, especially the Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner, that was the highlight of the tour! The restaurant we stopped by at for lunch was very nice as well. Looking forward to getting another tour! Thank you!

The highlights of the Baekje dynasty (and the Silla in Gyengju)

My wife and I took this tour (Seoul>Gongju>Buyeo) and added a stop in Suwon and a 2 day excursion to Gyeongju (from Daejeon). The combination offers a highlight of the rich Korean history, its UNESCO sites and museums. Dos was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. He tailored his explanation to our needs and was open to ad hoc changes. We did the tour in a spacious and comfortable van piloted by Dos, who introduced us to the fantastic local food. Highly recommended!

    Exceptional and perfectly organized tour!

This tour of Gongju and Buyeo was exceptional and perfectly organized. The transportation was seamless, and our guide was both passionate and professional, making Baekje Kingdom history truly come alive. Exploring Gongsanseong Fortress and the serene temple ruins felt like stepping back in time, away from the usual crowds. As a foreign traveler, I was especially grateful for the guide’s thoughtfulness regarding my dietary needs; they arranged a delicious, authentic lotus-leaf rice lunch that felt very respectful. If you want a meaningful, UNESCO-filled day trip with a personal touch, I highly recommend this tour!

    I really enjoyed the...

I really enjoyed the Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour (Baekje Kingdom) from Seoul. Everything was very well organized from the beginning, and meeting at Daejeon Station was easy and stress-free. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained Baekje history in a clear and engaging way, without it ever feeling like a lecture. One of the most powerful moments of the tour was learning about the region’s tragic history while standing before the cliffs where Korean women are said to have taken their own lives rather than fall into the hands of the enemy. Seeing these cliffs in person was deeply moving, and the heavy, sorrowful atmosphere can still be felt there, which made the historical narrative even more impactful. Walking along Gongsanseong Fortress and visiting the historical sites in Buyeo felt calm, authentic, and far removed from Seoul’s crowds. The museums and temple ruins added valuable historical context, and the schedule was well balanced, with enough free time at each stop to explore, reflect, and take photos. Lunch was another highlight. We tried local dishes, including lotus-leaf rice, which was simple yet very authentic and delicious. As a Muslim traveler, I had mentioned my dietary sensitivities in advance, and the guide was extremely attentive and respectful, carefully arranging suitable food options, which made the experience very comfortable. Transportation throughout the day was smooth, including the train journey to and from Seoul and the comfortable vehicle used during the tour. Overall, this tour is an excellent choice for travelers who want a deeper understanding of Korean history and culture, enjoy UNESCO heritage sites, and are looking for a peaceful and well-organized day trip outside Seoul without the stress of planning everything themselves.

    Must-Experience Korean Trip 🇰🇷🏯🌸

I joined the Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour with Dream Journey Korea, and it was an excellent experience. Unlike many tours that focus mainly on the Joseon era, this tour dives into ancient Korean history, specifically the Baekje Kingdom of the Three Kingdoms period. The itinerary included UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Gongsanseong Fortress, Gongju National Museum, the Baekje Royal Tombs, Buyeo National Museum (home to the Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner), and Jeongnimsaji Temple Site. The route was well organized and explained Baekje history in a clear, chronological way. The guide was highly professional, engaging, and attentive to all details, including dietary needs. I have traveled with this company before and, once again, everything was perfectly organized. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Korean history beyond the Joseon era.

Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour Baekje Kingdom From Seoul: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seoul.

How much does Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour Baekje Kingdom From Seoul cost?

    +

Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seoul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour Baekje Kingdom From Seoul take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seoul is not rushed.

Is Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour Baekje Kingdom From Seoul worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seoul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour Baekje Kingdom From Seoul?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour Baekje Kingdom From Seoul suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour Baekje Kingdom From Seoul?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seoul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seoul and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Gongju and Buyeo Historical Tour Baekje Kingdom From Seoul start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seoul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seoul?

    +

On Outty we rank every Seoul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include DMZ Tour: Defector Q&A, Tunnel & Suspension Bridge /Hotel pick up, Best DMZ Tour Seoul: Defector Q&A, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge, 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best: DMZ Tour from Seoul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seoul?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seoul?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
