Bran and Troll thumbs up - Viator thumbs down
Viator made a terrible mistake that almost cost us the trip. Viator gave us and the trip provider (Troll) different pick up info/destinations! If wasn’t for the patience and hard work of guide Bran, and Troll’s diligence, we would have missed the trip entirely. We missed 45 minutes (us and the rest of the people who paid!) of the trip due to Viator, which made the whole day feel rushed, considering all the stops. Thumbs up to Bran and Troll, but Viator must to something to compensate/correct in my opinion

Exceptional experience
The trip was great, our guide Bran was exceptionally knowledgeable and humorous. Trip was well planned with good I had a mild sprain in my foot and he made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole trip. Bran’s playlist for the road trip was the cherry on top!

Experience of a lifetime
We did two tours with Trolls on consecutive days. Both tours were outstanding experiences and we are so happy we decided to go with Trolls. The mini buses were very modern and clean. They included free WiFi and had USB-A charging ports above each seat—necessary because you will want to take a lot of photos. Our tours had less than 15 people each day which made the stops very manageable. We saw other tours with full size buses loaded with people that looked very unappealing. The smaller group size allowed a more intimate experience and allowed you to clearly hear the guide. All of our tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The schedule is tight and many stops were approximately 30 minutes. Although you may not be able to fully explore each spot (for example: climb the 500 steps up Skógafoss Waterfall), there were still many photographic opportunities. Communication with Trolls was extremely easy and quick through email. I wrote several times with questions and once to change my pick up location. They always responding within several hours, despite me writing them late in the evening. They may communicate with you about your trip via email while you are traveling so it is very important to check often. On two occasions, I didn’t see emails from them until much later. It was only a slight adjustment to the pick up time, but should have checked my email sooner. The second was the Golden Circle & Snorkeling in Silfra Minibus Tour. We saw two more waterfalls, again each were so unique and overwhelming. The Geysir was faithful in its eruptions. We ended the day with the snorkeling. I had been looking forward to this well before I even booked it. I had read all the warnings and was a little anxious about it. It wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected. We went on a sunny day with a temperature around 54F/12C. I wore a very light base layer only on the top and bottom. They gave us a fleece-lined union suit layer to put on over your clothes. Next comes the dry suit with booties. Both the dry suit and warmth layer they supply are amply sized. The tight parts are the wrists and neck of the dry suit. I don’t like things tight on me, but neither of these were too uncomfortable. The part that I found the tightest was the head gear which is a separate piece similar to a balaclava. They also give you neoprene gloves to wear. Although they allow water in them, the water warms to your hands. The only exposed part is the around your mouth and a small bit of forehead. The walk to the launch wasn’t bad. On our warm day I was starting to heat up and was ready to get in the cold water. There was no startling moment of cold like a cold plunge and I barely noticed my face being cold. The view while snorkeling is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. At the end I was exhausted. After the short walk back to the parking lot, I felt I had worked hard for that chocolate bar. Although you can’t operate a camera with the gloves on, the tour guide took take great shots and had them uploaded that evening. Knowing what I know now, I would do it all again. The two days I spent with Trolls were full of sights and moments to remember. Trolls were very easy to work with and I highly recommend them for your Iceland excursion.

Great guides
Our guide, victor, was amazing! He went above and beyond to make our experience in Iceland special and we feel like the trip was made better because of him!! He showed us a lot along the way to the stops and explained everything very well. We also loved the guides at the snorkeling, Leo and Victor, who were so friendly and fun and made that experience even better as well.

so nice
5 stars! This trip to Iceland was absolutely perfect, all thanks to such an amazing team! First, I want to give a special shoutout to Joe (Jone) on30 July, our driver and guide for the Golden Circle. He was truly outstanding! His driving was incredibly smooth and safe, and his commentary along the way was super informative and engaging, keeping the whole trip full of laughter. Also, although I can't quite recall the names of our snorkeling and glacier hike guides, I strictly want to make sure I thank them here: The snorkeling guide was a friendly and patient young guy in his early twenties who made everyone feel so safe and cared for throughout the experience. Today's South Coast glacier hike guide was a gorgeous young woman—I loved her energy so much! She was like a fairytale princess who deeply loves everything in nature. Thank you again to each and every guide for your hard work and dedication. Your professionalism and warmth made this trip the highlight of my travel memories. Highly, highly recommended!

Golden Circle & Snorkeling in Silfra From Reykjavík with Free Photos: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.
How much does Golden Circle & Snorkeling in Silfra From Reykjavík with Free Photos cost?
+
Prices start at $265 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Golden Circle & Snorkeling in Silfra From Reykjavík with Free Photos take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.
Is Golden Circle & Snorkeling in Silfra From Reykjavík with Free Photos worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 591 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Golden Circle & Snorkeling in Silfra From Reykjavík with Free Photos?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Golden Circle & Snorkeling in Silfra From Reykjavík with Free Photos suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Golden Circle & Snorkeling in Silfra From Reykjavík with Free Photos?
+
Around 207 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Golden Circle & Snorkeling in Silfra From Reykjavík with Free Photos start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?
+
On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Reykjavik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
