Board a climate-controlled minivan destined for the Golden Circle route. Over the course of the morning, stop at Gullfoss Waterfall, the Geysir Geyser, and Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates collide. On this tour, you will also spend free time soaking in the Secret Lagoon hot spring pool.

    What you'll see and do

      30 minutes here

    2. Thingvellir National Park

You will take a short walk through Thingvellir, a National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, located directly between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The history here is also fascinating; Thingvellir was the original site of what is now the longest-running parliament in the world, formed in 930 AD.

      45 minutes here

    3. Strokkur

Another stop will be in the geothermal are near Haukadalur valley. This hilly area has a lot of hot springs, but what it is most renowned for is its geysers. The largest, Geysir gave the world the word geyser, while Strokkur is the most active in the area, shooting water up to 30 meters high every five to ten minutes.

      30 minutes here

    4. Gullfoss Falls

Admire the majestic waterfall Gullfoss. The sheer power of the falls is mesmerizing, and its history is inspiring.

      30 minutes here

    5. Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin

On this tour, you will also get the time to slow down and relax like a local. Secret lagoon is Iceland’s oldest swimming pool, filled with water trickling in from an adjacent geothermal area, which, as an added bonus, has another little geyser. Its location could not be more serene, and you will no doubt ease away any tension built up over your holiday in its healing waters.

Great tour even in the rain

This was a good tour to see the highlights. It was a great tour because our driver/guide, Gummi, was engaging, knowledgeable, and kind. A must see, especially with Gummi.

    Girls Trip Golden Circle Excursion

This was a great tour! Our group was 7 women with a lot of energy and chatter. :) Our guide, Ian, was informative, friendly and flexible. He was a great person to spend the day with. The tour itself hit major attractions, and our guide provided tips to make things go smoothly while we were eating or on-foot visiting the attractions. It was a long day that was very enjoyable. I also felt the price of this tour was reasonable and worth the investment.

    Beyond the Golden Circle

Rakel is the most amazing guide we've had on this trip so far! She is funny and engaging and great with children and tweens. She knew so much about Iceland and had stories to share about just about everything we passed or saw on the route. And not just facts and geology but folklore and history. She gave us tips at each location and allowed us space to explore on our own, at our own pace. I learned so many interesting things, not just about the Golden Circle but all of Iceland. I'm really glad we selected this tour! Highly recommend!

Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon Small-Group Tour from Reykjavik: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.

How much does Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon Small-Group Tour from Reykjavik cost?

    +

Prices start at $84 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon Small-Group Tour from Reykjavik take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.

Is Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon Small-Group Tour from Reykjavik worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 90 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 1,953 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon Small-Group Tour from Reykjavik?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon Small-Group Tour from Reykjavik suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon Small-Group Tour from Reykjavik?

    +

Around 684 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon Small-Group Tour from Reykjavik start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?

    +

On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Reykjavik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
