Worst worst experience ever
I haven’t received any time estimates that I should wait in front of hotel . They want you to wait from trip start till bus shows up.. I got call from operator that driver had to leave as not in front hotel. I also tried drop off.. I checked time they told me wait from 3:45 from entrance and I did. I waited 20 minutes there no one showed up. I don’t how long I need to wait and wait so i decide to go by public transportation. I don’t recommend anyone who can do do public transportation, it’s so close to public bus stop
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry for the confusion and frustration this caused. For our shared shuttle services, pickups operate within a 20-minute window, which is standard and outlined in our booking information. Passengers are asked to be ready and waiting at the pickup point for the duration of this window, as arrival times can vary depending on traffic conditions and other passenger pickups and drop-offs along the route. This flexibility helps our drivers manage multiple locations efficiently. We understand that waiting can be inconvenient, and we’re sorry that this didn’t work out for you on the day. If you’d like us to look into this further, please feel free to email your booking details to customerservice@cxn.com.au, and we’ll be happy to review the situation. Thank you again for your feedback. Kind regards, Joanna – Customer Service

Friendly and helpful!
We called the evening before to book a shuttle for the next morning and were given friendly and helpful service. The shuttle driver the next morning was also very friendly (and played great music) and the bus was comfortable and very clean. On the way back due to traffic and needing to make the next service we were booked an uber by Con-X-ion back to our accomodation. Considering an uber there and back would have costed us $70 each way, con-x-ion was an incredibly affordable and comfortable transportation to and from Movie World.
Response from the operator: Thanks so much for the great review! We’re glad you found our team friendly and helpful, enjoyed the clean and comfy bus, and had a great ride with our driver (great music always helps!). We’re also happy we could sort out an Uber on the return due to traffic and keep things running smoothly. Thanks for choosing Con-X-ion — we hope to see you again soon. Warm regards, Joanna – Customer Service

Stay clear for Dreamworld transfers!!
Steer clear for Dreamworld transfers in particular. We had adult + 2 kids travelling from Surfers Paradise and thought a “shuttle bus to Dreamworld” would be just that, a quick and easy journey….. how wrong I was! We met at a nearby hotel, however with many many other pickups along the way (in close proximity to one another too). The time from central Surfers Paradise to dreamworld was approx 1h20min! We also stopped unknowingly at every single other park, Seaworld, Wetnwild, Paradise Country (which is a huge task getting to in itself). Movie world then finally Dreamworld. On arrival we were told pick up time is either 3pm or 5pm. The park fully closes at 4pm so the time certainly isn’t ideal. I sure didn’t want to be waiting with kids for almost an hour for the bus to take another hour+ bus back!! These times should be advertised likewise the length of journey. It is quicker and $60 cheaper to go by tram/bus than to travel with ConXion! There is no shelter from sun or rain at the pick up spot either. We took an alternative method of travel back in the end. Ridiculous waste of money!
Response from the operator: Hi Salsdo, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. At non-peak times, a direct car ride from Surfers Paradise to Dreamworld typically takes a minimum of 30 minutes. However, as we operate a shared shuttle service, we travel during peak-hour morning traffic, which can extend the journey time. Depending on passenger numbers, we often schedule multiple buses to streamline the service, including a direct Dreamworld-only route. On quieter days, the service may stop at the southern theme parks first, as Dreamworld is the most northern park. Regarding return times, historically, all theme parks closed at 5pm, and most still do. However, Dreamworld recently changed its hours from Monday to Thursday, now closing at 4pm. To accommodate all parks, we offer return services at both 3pm and 5pm. You mentioned that it would be quicker to use the public bus and tram; however, this involves a bus, a tram, and a second bus, taking around 1hr and 5 minutes. In the instance of your particular service, for just an extra 15 minutes, you avoided switching modes of transport and instead relax and enjoy the journey with us. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to review our scheduling to improve the experience. If you’d like to discuss this further, please reach out to us at customerservice@con-x-ion.com. Great reliable service
I purchased the return transfer from Gold Coast airport to Surfer's Paradise and would buy it again next time. The bus was waiting at the airport with us, assisted with everyone's luggage, drove safely and the driver displayed great Customer Service. When it was time for us to catch the return back, the driver called 10mins out to confirm our meeting location and got us to the airport without any issues.

Why this scores 46
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Gold Coast Hotels & Theme Park Transfers: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Gold Coast.
How much does Gold Coast Hotels & Theme Park Transfers cost?
+
Prices start at $16 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Gold Coast usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Gold Coast Hotels & Theme Park Transfers take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Gold Coast is not rushed.
Is Gold Coast Hotels & Theme Park Transfers worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Gold Coast, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Gold Coast Hotels & Theme Park Transfers?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Gold Coast Hotels & Theme Park Transfers suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Gold Coast Hotels & Theme Park Transfers?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gold Coast can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gold Coast and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Gold Coast Hotels & Theme Park Transfers start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Gold Coast within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Gold Coast?
+
On Outty we rank every Gold Coast experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 2 Hour Ultimate Learn to Surf Adventure, Gold Coast Whale Watching Cruise, Whale Watching by Sea World Cruises. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Gold Coast?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Gold Coast?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
