Good-paced and convenient HOHO tour
It was a really good experience seeing glow worms, walking through the rainforest, Skywalk. The hop on hop off option was very convenient. We had some lunch at the Gallery Walk before heading off to see the Curtis falls. Paul told us to watch out for Pademelons and did see some. It was rounded off by spotting some kangaroos at the Coombabah Reserve from the van. The activities were not fast faced and felt very organic and relaxed. Paul was an excellent driver and great conversationalist, with a really good sense of humor. We got a lot of gems of knowledge and stories from Paul. We would definitely recommend this activity.

A good tour out - the...
A good tour out - the glow worm cave is an artificial one - it’s about a 20 min walk, cannot take photos in there The attractions not very lively as compared to other tourist spots especially after investing a full day
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. The Glow Worm Caves are purpose-built with conservation and sustainability in mind. They provide a protected breeding environment where glow worms are raised and later released into natural habitats, helping to support wild populations that can be affected by over-tourism and environmental pressures. To protect the glow worms and preserve the experience, tours are limited to just 20 guests at a time, and photography is not permitted inside the caves. Tamborine Mountain offers a different experience from larger commercial attractions. It’s about enjoying the rainforest, scenic lookouts, gardens, galleries, wineries, local artisan businesses, and the relaxed mountain atmosphere. We appreciate your comments and hope you had the opportunity to enjoy some of the many other unique experiences the mountain has to offer.

Spent a lot of time...
Spent a lot of time waiting around and driving. I wouldn't really consider it a HOPO as the driver already seemed to have 4 things in mind they'd like to do. Would recommend renting a car and going around independently in future
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the experience didn’t feel as flexible as expected on the day. Our Hop On Hop Off service is designed as a shared public transport-style experience around Tamborine Mountain, allowing guests to get on and off at different attractions at their own pace. Because it is a shared service, there can be some waiting and travel time while we connect different guests with different stops across the mountain. We also understand that some travellers prefer a fully independent schedule. For guests wanting complete control over timing and stops, one of our private experiences may be a better fit. Our public Hop On Hop Off option is intended to provide a more sustainable, lower-impact way to explore the mountain while sharing transport with other visitors. Thank you again for your comments. We’ll continue working on how we communicate the shared nature of the service, timing expectations and flexibility so guests can choose the experience that best suits their travel style.

Gold Coast: HOHO - Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk + Glow Worm Caves: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Gold Coast.
How much does Gold Coast: HOHO - Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk + Glow Worm Caves cost?
+
Prices start at $129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Gold Coast usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Gold Coast: HOHO - Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk + Glow Worm Caves take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Gold Coast is not rushed.
Is Gold Coast: HOHO - Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk + Glow Worm Caves worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Gold Coast, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Gold Coast: HOHO - Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk + Glow Worm Caves?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Gold Coast: HOHO - Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk + Glow Worm Caves suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Gold Coast: HOHO - Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk + Glow Worm Caves?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gold Coast can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gold Coast and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Gold Coast: HOHO - Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk + Glow Worm Caves start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Gold Coast within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Gold Coast?
+
On Outty we rank every Gold Coast experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 2 Hour Ultimate Learn to Surf Adventure, Gold Coast Whale Watching Cruise, Mount Tamborine Wine Tasting Tour from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Gold Coast?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Gold Coast?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
