The "Like a Local" experience is about discovering places (bars and clubs) that tourists would never find on their own. With a local guide who knows the history and lifestyles of the most assertive and unique bars in the city, located in the emblematic and surprising Raval neighborhood, you'll have an authentic and atypical vision of Barcelona. An immersion in real nightlife!

    What you'll see and do

    1. Parroquia de Sant Pere Nolasc

We will start our tour in front of the Parròquia de Sant Pere Nolasc Mercedaris church, Pl. de Castella, 6, 08001 Barcelona, Spain, in the northern part of the Raval district, where we will meet at 9pm and after a brief introduction, we will begin our tour.

    2. 2. An emblematic and internationally renowned point of reference for skate culture. It was one of the first skater bars in Spain and is famous for being a meeting place for many punk-rock, hip hop, trap, metal, and rock'n'roll people from Catalonia. The bar has a unique aesthetic and the prices for beers and cocktails are very affordable.

      30 minutes here

    3. The second bar will be a totally unique bar different from the others, where we will have a space reserved just for us. One of the most recognized cocktail bars in Spain, and Dani Gomez and Andres are the most highly respected bartenders in the Raval district. The best place to enjoy a high-quality drink, and it is the best cocktail bar in the city and will be our second stop on the tour.

El Gato de Botero: We will stop in front of the famous statue of El Gato de Botero, and I will tell you some anecdotes about the Raval district and the local artistic movements.

    5. Our third bar will be ....surprise..., which is an iconic piece of history in Barcelona's nightlife scene. Opened in 1820 in Raval, the bar is said to be Barcelona’s very first bar and everyone from Picasso, Dalì to Hemingway is rumoured to have been a regular at some point in this establishment’s long and louche history. Paradoxically, while the grime on the chandeliers thickens, the floor tiles become even tattier and the cobwebs in every corner spread further, this bar appeal only seems to grow. Enjoy drinking in the sense of history as much as the venue’s famed absinthe. As pimps, prostitutes and thieves cavort right outside you are very much in the heart of the sleazy underbelly of Barcelona nightlife, barely changed from the 19th century. Woody Allen chose to shoot a scene from Vicky Cristina Barcelona right here. The last video from Rosalia was filmed there.

      30 minutes here

    6. 6. Each bar in Barcelona has its own unique magic, and Bar this one is no exception. It is a transformed piece of the city's history and is a key meeting place for the people of Barcelona. Its a primarily youthful meeting spot with subdued lighting, rap or electronic music, and economical prices. It is the classic last bar before heading off to dance at the club and is likely the least expensive bar in the city.

      30 minutes here

    7. 7. Our last bar will be Ocaña, the most important LGBTIQ+ bar. It is an impressive and enormous historic building that has preserved its original elements. Entering Ocaña is almost like embarking on a small journey back in time that takes us to Belle Époque with its golden columns and furniture, to the antiques markets of half of Europe and even to some of the best design studios (the lighting is the work of the Lumières Studio in Paris. After getting lost in the restaurant and cafe, we will climb some stairs to the ground floor where we will find the Club and Apotheke, a very special cocktail bar. It is an experience for the senses and an original journey without leaving Barcelona. Ocaña is named in honor of the artist José Pérez Ocaña, who lived for 12 years in the nearby house. José Pérez Ocaña, better known as Ocaña, was a performer, artist, painter, and LGBT rights activist in Spain. Ocaña, who was an icon of resistance to the Franco dictatorship.

    8. We will finish our tour at Plaza Reial, one of the most famous nightlife squares in Barcelona. At the end of the tour, I will give you a ticket to the historic nightclub: A small, dark and intimate club located near Las Ramblas in the heart of Barcelona. It is a eclectic place frequented by locals. There is only one room where you will find the dance floor, a long bar, and a small stage. The music policy varies greatly depending on the night of the week. Some evenings of the week, you will find bands playing, DJ sets of rock music, or electronic, disco, funk music, it will be a SURPRISE! (the entrance fee to the disco will be only 2 euros at the entrance)

10/10 recommended for a real local experience

This was by far one of the most exclusive experiences I’ve ever had when traveling. The tour was so cool and fun, and Alessandro was beyond helpful! He really knows the in-and-outs of the city and I honestly think he took us to the coolest bars in town. It’s definitely not the type of tour that takes you to overrated touristy areas that overcharge your drinks. Each bar was so unique with its own vibe and people, and this tour gets you skip-the-line access to all of them. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get to really know the city’s nightlife and experience it like one of the locals. Thanks again to our guide and friend for the night, Alessandro! ❤️

    UNIQUE and AUTHENTIC experience

I had the pleasure of participating in a truly unique bar tour unlike any other similar experience I have ever had. From the very first moment we met, Alessandro was extremely helpful. He was able to involve the whole group with his infectious energy taking us to a series of characteristic bars, far from the usual common and commercial premises. Alessandro led us through the hidden streets of the city, making us discover unexpected corners and surprising murals. It was more than just a night out. A journey through the culture and soul of the city, led by a passionate and competent person. I highly recommend to all those who want to live a different evening to try this unique experience.

    Very good places!

Tour of the best bars and cocktail shops in Raval. Very good service from Ale and his partner. We discovered places we didn't know about our city. Highly recommended!

"An Unforgettable Barcelona Experience: Alessandro's Personalized Tour Delights and Inspires"

Alessandro's tour of the Raval and Gothic neighborhoods was an absolute highlight of my visit to Barcelona. From the moment we met, Alessandro exuded warmth, professionalism, and genuine passion for his work. His extensive knowledge of the neighborhoods and their history was truly impressive, and he had a knack for bringing the stories to life with his engaging storytelling. What sets Alessandro apart is his attention to detail and the personalized touch he adds to the tour. Not only did he take us to the best bars and cocktail spots that I would have never discovered on my own, but he also made sure to understand our preferences and tailored the experience accordingly. It felt like he knew exactly what we were looking for, and his recommendations were spot on. Throughout the tour, Alessandro's care for our well-being and enjoyment was evident. He constantly checked in with everyone, ensuring that we were comfortable, having a great time, and that the pace of the tour suited us. His genuine concern for each participant created a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Alessandro's expertise in electronic music truly shone through as well. The selection of clubs for the culmination of the tour was impeccable. He knew the local scene inside out and managed to create an unforgettable night out with the perfect blend of music, ambiance, and energy. It was a fantastic way to conclude the tour, dancing the night away to incredible beats in a vibrant and energetic setting. I can't recommend Alessandro's tour enough. Whether you're a music enthusiast, history buff, or simply someone who loves exploring new places, this tour has it all. Alessandro's professionalism, knowledge, and genuine love for his city and work make for an unforgettable experience. Trust me, you'll walk away not only with wonderful memories but also with a newfound appreciation for Barcelona's nightlife and culture. Book your spot on his tour—you won't regret it!"

Go out like a local, pub Crawl / Tour in Raval - Barcelona: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Go out like a local, pub Crawl / Tour in Raval - Barcelona cost?

    +

Prices start at $27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Go out like a local, pub Crawl / Tour in Raval - Barcelona take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Go out like a local, pub Crawl / Tour in Raval - Barcelona worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Go out like a local, pub Crawl / Tour in Raval - Barcelona?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Go out like a local, pub Crawl / Tour in Raval - Barcelona suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Go out like a local, pub Crawl / Tour in Raval - Barcelona?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Go out like a local, pub Crawl / Tour in Raval - Barcelona start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

    +

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

    +

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
