    Excellent customer service

We were scheduled to participate in a late night glow kayak trip but were informed it needed to be canceled due to inclement weather. The company refunded our payment and did not hesitate. They were kind and very customer friendly.

    Horrible garbage trash business

Absolutely horrible customer service. They canceled our tour, provided no service whatsoever, and refused to refund our money. Instead, they tried to force a gift card on us even though we were from out of town and couldn’t just “book another night.” We were told our situation was just a “sob story,” which was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. They even admitted they can cancel tours up to 5 minutes before launch under their policy and still refuse a refund. They showed zero compassion and treated us like absolute garbage. Do yourself a favor and book with another company. This place does not care about its customers.

Response from the operator: We’re sorry this experience felt negative and we appreciate the chance to clarify what happened for future guests. When your party booked the GlowRow® Glowing Kayak Tour in Port Aransas, you agreed to our Terms of Service and weather/cancellation policy at checkout, including the option to add Weather/Trip Protection. That policy explains that if GlowRow® has to cancel for unsafe conditions verified by an FAA‑certified, calibrated weather station (such as high winds), guests who purchase Weather/Trip Protection are eligible for a refund, while guests who choose not to add that protection are offered a reschedule or a gift card instead. In your case, the tour was canceled for high winds confirmed by official station data, and our team followed the policy you agreed to by offering and issuing a gift card when Weather/Trip Protection had not been purchased. We understand it’s frustrating when travel plans change, especially when you’re from out of town, but we do apply the same safety‑first policy to every guest so we can operate fairly and consistently. We’re always happy to review any specific concerns one‑on‑one, but we want future guests to know that our decisions are based on clear, posted terms and certified weather data, not on “sob stories” or selective treatment.

    Fun new Port Aransas experience!

My wife and I have kayaked the Lighthouse Trails in the past but being in a kayak in the mangroves at night is a totally different experience. We saw plenty of mullet jumping out of the water (a few even jumped into some of the kayaks), needle fish, blue crab floating in the sea grass, and a sting ray. Zach and Keegan were great guides and pretty funny. The one challenge was my wife and I trying to get our paddle stokes in cadence enough to keep the kayak in a straight line. I would definitely book this again on our next trip to Port A.

    Touring with Aza and Kegan

Aza and Kegan were amazing tour guides. We got to be within 15 feet of a dolphin. The tour guides were super helpful. Funny. Friendly. I highly recommend this tour and them for the guides.

    Operation sea grass

The trip was fine but very windy conditions likely affected any wildlife. We saw a bunch of seagrass under our boat. It was less of a kayak trip and more of a paddle to the middle and float and hope something swims by. I was envisioning more of a specific route that would meander through select locations. We basically just rowed through the boating channel to a wide shallow area and floated for a “hot minute”. Not really any instruction of where to go. The current was so swift that you had to paddle the whole time to not get pushed into shore so there wasn’t an opportunity to look through the clear boat. Nessie could have been down there and I wouldn’t have known.

Response from the operator: Hi Amy, thank you for taking the time to write this, and we're sorry the trip didn't land the way it should have. A few things we want to address directly: every GlowRow® experience should include a clear route briefing, defined viewing stops, and time to actually watch what's under the clear hull. If that didn't happen on your trip, that's on us, not on the day. Wind and current can move fast on Lighthouse Lakes, and on days when the water turns choppy and turbid, the clear-bottom viewing simply won't perform, which is exactly why we'd rather reroute or reschedule than push through it. We'd like to know which of those calls our team made on June 14 so we can review it internally. Could you email us at info@glowrow.com? We'd like to make this right and walk you through the route the experience is designed to deliver and, when you're ready, invite you back for a glow tour at night, which is the version of GlowRow® where the clear hull really does its job. The GlowRow® Team

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Port Aransas.

How much does GlowRow Glowing Kayak Tour Port Aransas - Lighthouse Lakes cost?

    +

Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Port Aransas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does GlowRow Glowing Kayak Tour Port Aransas - Lighthouse Lakes take?

    +

Plan for about 1.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Port Aransas is not rushed.

Is GlowRow Glowing Kayak Tour Port Aransas - Lighthouse Lakes worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Port Aransas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule GlowRow Glowing Kayak Tour Port Aransas - Lighthouse Lakes?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is GlowRow Glowing Kayak Tour Port Aransas - Lighthouse Lakes suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book GlowRow Glowing Kayak Tour Port Aransas - Lighthouse Lakes?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Port Aransas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Port Aransas and add a light layer if any part of the 1.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does GlowRow Glowing Kayak Tour Port Aransas - Lighthouse Lakes start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Port Aransas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Port Aransas?

    +

On Outty we rank every Port Aransas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Dolphin Watch and Sunset Boat Tour Port Aransas Texas, Port Aransas Prowl Scavenger Hunt, Open Cockpit Coastal Experience Port Aransas. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Port Aransas?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Port Aransas?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
