Amazing Glenorchy Tour

We had the BEST Glenorchy Private Tour on 24/7/26, better than our expectations. The booking with TravelnGo was very easy & user-friendly with email confirmation after payment & the day before our departure we got details of the driver, car number & contact number. We are so blessed to have Jay as our tour guide cum driver. He is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, excellent driver & our great photographer…we had so much fun even though it was raining during lunch time. We love this private tour so much because of the flexibility & we can stop at some of the stunning places (eg: Moke Lake, Glenorchy jetty & waterfront, Lord of the Rings Isengard lookout..etc) longer to take amazing photos/videos. Jay is also very patient with us with the Lagoon walk because we can’t walk very fast & let us stop to rest & enjoy the spectacular views of Mt. Earnslaw. It was an incredible day with lots of wonderful memories! Big Thank You to Jay for everything! Greatly appreciated! This tour with TravelnGo is definitely highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Kia Ora! Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed and wonderful review of your Glenorchy private tour! We are thrilled to hear that the experience exceeded your expectations right from the smooth booking process. Jay will be deeply touched to read your kind words. He always strives to tailor the pace to our guests' needs—so knowing he made the Lagoon Walk comfortable while taking in those views of Mt. Earnslaw means the world to us. Rain or shine, he loves making sure everyone has a relaxed, fun, and memorable day exploring places like Moke Lake, the Glenorchy waterfront, and the Isengard lookout! Thank you for highly recommending TravelnGo. It was an absolute pleasure hosting you, and we hope to welcome you back to Queenstown for another unforgettable trip! Warm regards, The TravelnGo Team

Magical experience

Jay Jung made our tour phenomenal. It was the most beautiful place in the world. Every photo (which Jay took beautifully) seemed like a green screen. Jay took us to spots nobody else had been to as well as the popular spots. We had a fabulous lunch in Glenorchy and an absolutely glorious day! Could not more highly recommend this company and using Jay as your guide.

Another great trip

Our second trip with Jay! This tour was great! Glenorchy and Mrs Wooly were great. Recommend the pies at Mrs Woolys and her garden setting that Jay recommended. The drive to Paradise was filled with lakes and forests and views of a glacier.

Response from the operator: It was such a pleasure having you back for your second tour with us! We’re so glad you enjoyed the trip out to Paradise—it really is a world of its own. Jay was thrilled to show you his favorite local spots, and we couldn't agree more about the pies at Mrs Woolly’s; they are a local legend! Thank you for choosing TravelnGo twice. Safe travels!

Glenorchy Private Day Trip from Queenstown: TravelnGo: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Queenstown.

How much does Glenorchy Private Day Trip from Queenstown: TravelnGo cost?

+

Prices start at $567 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Queenstown usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Glenorchy Private Day Trip from Queenstown: TravelnGo take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Queenstown is not rushed.

Is Glenorchy Private Day Trip from Queenstown: TravelnGo worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Queenstown, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Glenorchy Private Day Trip from Queenstown: TravelnGo?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Glenorchy Private Day Trip from Queenstown: TravelnGo suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Glenorchy Private Day Trip from Queenstown: TravelnGo?

+

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Queenstown can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Queenstown and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Glenorchy Private Day Trip from Queenstown: TravelnGo start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Queenstown within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Queenstown?

+

On Outty we rank every Queenstown experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Milford Sound Small Group Tour & Cruise from Queenstown, Milford Sound Premium Small Group Tour & Cruise from Queenstown, Award Winning Premium Wine Tour Queenstown Tasting at 4 Wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Queenstown?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Queenstown?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
