Fun, but not worth full price.
The 6:30 train was sold out, so we went at 7:30. Train ride was fine, but short ride and the foliage is very close to both sides of the train. Not many opportunities for picture-taking. By the time we got there, there were no seats by the fire pits or heaters. After a bit, one of the picnic tables opened up and we played the big-block Jenga which was really fun. We had a good time, but didn’t feel it was worth the cost. I might do it again if we bought the 6:30 tickets through Groupon.

Girls Getaway Fun
My friend and I were on a girls getaway. Such a fun experience and beautiful trip into the Redwoods. Great music & drinks and fun games.

Epic Jenga, music and train
Great fun on the skunk train to the Watering Hole! Witnessed an epic Jenga Game at least 36 levels high 😳 before disaster fall! And enjoyed the music that Johnny provided. The rice bowls were great for dinner.

Amazing experience
We took the Skunk Train to Glen Blair Bar. It was such a wonderful experience to be out among the redwoods at night. Everyone was so nice. There was live music, plenty of games, and fire pits. There were also sandwiches and bowls for sale. The smores kit makes 4 smores and was a fun add on. Tip: If you are going to walk the trail, do it when you get there. We mistakenly though it was lit, but it's not. We took the 7:30 and stayed until it closed. It was the highlight of an already incredible trip. Don't miss it!

Third time was Not the charm
This was our third time visiting Glen Blair and probably our last. The addition of many chairs and reduction of games such as corn hole and the big connect four limited our activities. The live music is great but there’s no need to place rows of chairs around it. They are clearly trying to stuff as many people in as possible. The price was bumped to $70 from $50 which is alright but not with less to do. There is a bar so one can buy drinks and a few snacks. The train ride is fun, but there’s really isn’t enough to warrant going again in our opinion. We are disappointed in the changes.

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Glen Blair Bar Late-night Watering Hole: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mendocino.
How much does Glen Blair Bar Late-night Watering Hole cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mendocino usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Glen Blair Bar Late-night Watering Hole take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mendocino is not rushed.
Is Glen Blair Bar Late-night Watering Hole worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 72 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mendocino, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Glen Blair Bar Late-night Watering Hole?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Glen Blair Bar Late-night Watering Hole suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Glen Blair Bar Late-night Watering Hole?
+
Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mendocino can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mendocino and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Glen Blair Bar Late-night Watering Hole start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mendocino within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mendocino?
+
On Outty we rank every Mendocino experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Redwoods Railbike Along Pudding Creek, Skunk Train: Wolf Tree Turn from Willits, Fort Bragg California Scavenger Hunt Walking Activity and Game. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mendocino?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mendocino?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
