The best of Cairo
Quite simply the best tour company in Cairo from start to finish..Fatima our guide was great!...Max came by to welcome me and my friends...he is a class act along with the owner..for sure I will use them again when I go back to see the new Egyptian Museum in 2020...thanks for another great experience...see you soon!😁

Amazing Trip.
This company is excellent, excellent, excellent!! They provided first class service from the beginning to end of our trip. When we arrived at the airport a representative met us, purchased our visas, and got us through the entry process with ease. Our driver met us outside the airport and drove us to the hotel. Upon arrival Max was there to greet us at the hotel. Because we arrived late Max had food waiting for us. Our tour started the next morning. The driver and tour guide were very prompt in arriving at the hotel. At first we were disappointed when Max told us he would not be our tour guide (another group had booked him). We had heard so many positive comments about him. However Max assure us that he had found a good replacement for us and Max was absolutely correct. Fatima was outstanding!! Fatima was very knowledgeable and provide our group with so much insight to their history and culture. Our day started with viewing the 3 pyramids of the kings guarded by the Sphinx and taking a camel ride. When we arrived at the restaurant for lunch we were immediately served. We had an outstanding view of the Sphinx and pyramids from our seats in the restaurant. Then we were off to Saqqara and Memphis. Day 2 started with the Egyptian Museum and viewing the mummy rooms, truly amazing. We took a ride down the Nile River which was so peaceful and relaxing. We visited Old Cairo, the Hanging Church, the oldest mosque in the world and visited a shop which sold essential oils. Prior to starting the tour Fatima laid out some ground rules for us. She told us if we were interested in purchasing something to let her know. Fatima negotiated pricing on our behalf and she is a very good negotiator. We got great deals on the items we purchased. BANANAS (inside joke for our group). Fatima also let us know when it was appropriate to tip and how much. An extra bonus was that Fatima was an excellent photographer. She took some great group and individual shots of us that we will all treasure. That evening Max met us at the hotel to say goodbye. Our driver arrived at the hotel later that evening to take us to the airport. On the way to the airport Max called us to make sure we were in route and that everything was OK. The coordination of the trip was impeccable. Every detail was thoroughly planned. Each time we arrived at a location the staff was ready and waiting for us. Max, Fatima and all the personnel from Lapis Tours went above and beyond to make our trip a memorable one. If you are planning a trip to Cairo please contact Max at Lapis Tours. Lifetime of memories!
Super amazing experience with Lapis tours in Egypt. The whole Lapis tours crew was wonderful and treated our whole party like we were family. They anticipate our every need and worked like a finely tunned machine coordinating every aspect of the trip. As soon as we arrived in Egypt they were at the airport to greet us, helped us through customs by completing all the paperwork for us, getting our Visa's and transported us to the hotel. Very quick and effortless for us tired travelers! Our tour guide Fatma is a remarkable person. She loves her country and is so passionate about its history and culture. She is brilliant, speaks English very well maybe even better than us and shared with us 21,000 years of Egyptian history! She managed our tour very well and timed events perfectly! Don't worry about getting a bad deal with the local vendor's either; She is the queen of negotiation;) She loves getting you the best price on souvenirs! Fatma is also a great photographer and took loads of pictures for us so we could spend more time just enjoying the experience. The drivers that drove us up, down and everywhere are true professionals!....I would never attempt to think I could drive as well as they do in the very busy traffic of Egypt. Do not waste any time booking with other tour guides and book a tour with Lapis Tours now. You will not regret it!
