About this experience

This tour is built for travelers who want to experience Giza from more than one angle. You’ll combine the essential ancient sights with a camel ride, an ATV adventure, and time to shop for Egyptian souvenirs—all in one private day. Instead of choosing between a cultural tour and a desert adventure, you get both, with your own guide and private transportation keeping the experience organized around your group. The ATV ride adds genuine excitement after the pyramid sightseeing, while the camel ride offers the classic desert experience and memorable photos. It’s an especially good fit for couples, families, and first-time visitors who want a lively day without booking several separate experiences.

What you'll see and do

  1. The Pyramids Of Giza

Begin at the Giza Plateau, where the Great Pyramid of Khufu stands alongside the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Your Egyptologist guide will introduce you to the purpose and history of these extraordinary monuments while giving you time to walk around the complex and capture photographs. You’ll visit the main pyramid area and stop at viewpoints where all three pyramids can be appreciated together. The Giza portion typically forms the historical heart of similar private tours before the adventure activities begin.

  2. The Great Pyramid of Khufu

Spend time beside the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest pyramid at Giza and the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. Your guide will explain how this enormous structure was connected to the ancient Egyptian funerary tradition and what is known about its construction. You’ll have an opportunity to admire the pyramid from ground level and take photographs against its massive limestone blocks. Entry inside the pyramid can be arranged separately if your selected ticket option includes it.

60 minutes here · Admission included

  3. Great Sphinx

Continue to the Great Sphinx, the monumental figure with the body of a lion and the head of a king. Your guide will explain the traditional connection between the Sphinx and the reign of Khafre while pointing out details that are easy to miss from a distance. Take time for photographs from different angles before moving on to the more adventurous side of the tour. The Sphinx is consistently included among the principal stops on competing Giza pyramid-and-ATV experiences.

    Pass by without stopping

  4. Giza Plateau

Trade the sightseeing vehicle for a traditional camel ride through the desert around the pyramids. Sitting above the desert floor gives you a completely different perspective of the monuments and creates plenty of opportunities for classic Egypt photographs. The ride is designed as a relaxed experience rather than a long expedition, making it an easy addition to a day that already combines archaeological sightseeing with an ATV adventure. Comparable Viator tours commonly offer camel rides of around 15–30 minutes.

25 minutes here · Admission included

  5. Giza Plateau

Now it’s time to add some speed to your day with an ATV quad-bike ride across the desert. After instructions and safety guidance, you’ll drive across the sandy terrain and experience the Giza landscape from a more adventurous angle. Similar Viator products offer rides of around one hour, making this one of the main activity highlights rather than a quick photo stop. Comfortable clothing, closed shoes, sunglasses, and sun protection are recommended. Travelers with medical conditions that make ATV riding unsuitable should skip this activity.

25 minutes here · Admission included

  6. Giza

Visit the sightseeing and adventure with time to explore Egyptian shops and traditional bazaars. Browse souvenirs, crafts, perfumes, spices, cotton products, and other locally inspired goods while your guide helps you understand what you’re buying. The shopping stop is a practical way to finish the day, especially for travelers looking to take home something connected to their Egyptian journey. Similar tours position curated shopping stops as part of the experience rather than leaving guests to navigate the markets alone.

    60 minutes here

  7. Cairo

End your experience with a relaxing Nile dinner cruise in Cairo. Step aboard in the evening and enjoy dinner while sailing along the Nile, with the illuminated Cairo skyline providing the backdrop. The cruise typically combines a buffet-style meal with live entertainment and traditional Egyptian performances, creating a lively finish to your two-day adventure. After the cruise, your private vehicle will take you back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.

Great value and excitement

Our tour was so much fun! Our guide Mira was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even better. She was great at explaining everything and made sure we were having a good time throughout the tour. Our driver Ahmed was also very friendly and took us around quickly and efficiently. We had such a great time doing the quad bikes, camel ride, seeing the pyramids, and finishing the day with the dinner cruise. Overall, it was a really fun experience and I would definitely recommend this tour! And it is a great value for the amount you pay.

One Day in Cairo

We only had one day in Cairo and had the best experience with Farha. There was just the 2 of us, we were picked up from our hotel and taken first to Pyramids and Sphinx. Farha explained clearly in English the history and culture of the times. Then on to the 🐪 riding. We then visited spice & tea, papyrus plant art, hieroglyphics and aromatherapy shops. Interesting and interactive. After cooling down then we went onto ATV bike riding in the desert. We were dropped back to our hotel then picked up for the Nile dinner cruise. A long hot day but an incredible experience. I can’t recommend enough for an action packed day in Cairo. Thank you Farha for helping fill our bucket list.

Incredible full day non-stop action for memories of a life-time!

I did a lot of research and what I liked about this tour is that it had by far the most variety of activities that is included in a single day than any other tour and at a great value. They were also flexible with what we wanted and whay we did not want. Mira our tour guide was very pationate and knowleagble about her countries history. We added the little pyramid entrance for a few dollars and was easy to get in and out compared to the large pyramid from what I read, we didn't care which one. Mira recommended a nice roof top restaurant with a view and we invited her to join us. My teens thought the camel ride was the coolest experience and the atv ride.the most fun experience! I highly recommend booking your tour these guys!

Giza Pyramids, Camel Ride, ATV & Shopping Tour with Dinner Cruise: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.

How much does Giza Pyramids, Camel Ride, ATV & Shopping Tour with Dinner Cruise cost?

+

Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Giza Pyramids, Camel Ride, ATV & Shopping Tour with Dinner Cruise take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.

Is Giza Pyramids, Camel Ride, ATV & Shopping Tour with Dinner Cruise worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 91 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 314 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Giza Pyramids, Camel Ride, ATV & Shopping Tour with Dinner Cruise?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Giza Pyramids, Camel Ride, ATV & Shopping Tour with Dinner Cruise suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Giza Pyramids, Camel Ride, ATV & Shopping Tour with Dinner Cruise?

+

Around 110 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Giza Pyramids, Camel Ride, ATV & Shopping Tour with Dinner Cruise start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cairo?

+

On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
