    Outstanding guide

Mr Essam iSavitur is an outstanding guide and a highly knowledgeable Egyptologist. He has a remarkable ability to convey his extensive knowledge of Egypt’s cultural history in a clear, engaging and accessible manner. His expertise extends far beyond Egypt itself, encompassing the wider Middle East and providing fascinating context across historical periods and dynasties, right up to the present day. His tours are exceptionally well organised and thoughtfully tailored to the individual interests and expectations of his guests. In addition to his impressive knowledge and professionalism, Mr Essam stands out for his reliability, punctuality and genuine empathy. He is attentive to the needs of those he guides and creates an atmosphere in which one feels both well cared for and inspired to discover more. We could not have wished for a more knowledgeable, dedicated and personable guide.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and your kind words. It was truly a pleasure having you with us and showing you a little of Egypt through our hearts & eyes. I'm very happy to know that you enjoyed your experience with Mr. Essam, and I hope the memories, photos, and moments we shared together will stay with you for so many years to come. Thank you again for trusting us with part of your journey in Egypt. Warm regards, Sam & Mo Travel

    Trip to the GEM

We had a great experience on the GEM tour. The artifacts and the displays were terrific but the assistance of a top class guide was vital. We used Sam as our guide and he had so much knowledge to impart to us. He is an expert on Egyptology (as is Mo) and it enhanced the experience to benefit from his expertise. I would recommend Sam or Mo for a GEM tour, a trip to the Pyramids or any tour in Egypt. I have always recommended Sam to friends and colleagues who may be visiting Egypt and the feedback is always positive!

Unforgettable Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum with a true expert

I visited the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum in April 2026 with my mom and my sister, and Essam made it truly unforgettable. As an Egyptologist, he has an incredible depth of knowledge, and you can feel his passion for Egyptian history. The way he brought the stories, people, and ancient world to life made everything so much more meaningful and fascinating. I had visited the Pyramids before without a guide, and the experience was completely different this time. Having Essam explain the history, significance, and details behind what we were seeing gave me a whole new appreciation for these incredible places. In addition, as an experienced local guide, he made us feel super safe and took care of all the logistics for us: picking us up, driving us around, navigating the ticket buying and entry process, and making sure everything ran smoothly. This was incredibly useful and meant we could simply relax and enjoy the experience without having to worry about the practical details. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Egypt. It will make for a dream experience!

Response from the operator: Dear Guest Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It was a real pleasure spending that day with you. I'm very happy that you enjoyed the pyramids more with us. Thank you for choosing Sam & Mo, and I hope Egypt will always have a special place in your memories. Warm regards, Sam & Mo Travel

    Fan of Mo!

Mo is highly professional and speaks English very well. He has a wealth of knowledge and is able to convey it clearly and enthusiastically. I have used his services on four occasions, both privately and for a mission involving CEOs, as well as for a museum’s management team. The participants were very satisfied every time. If I travel to Cairo again, he will be the first person I contact.

Response from the operator: Dear Dirk Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It was a real pleasure spending 4 times in Cairo with you, especially the time we shared together with your Queen. I'm very happy that you enjoyed the KMSKA tour too. Thank you for choosing Sam & Mo, and I hope Egypt will always have a special place in your memories. Warm regards, Sam & Mo Travel

Simply the best guide in Cairo! And bonus photographer!

I don't know if I can accurately put into words what an amazing experience we had with Sam Mo. As first time visitors to Egypt, and two women, we were a bit nervous about choosing a tour provider. Initially, we booked one day trip with Sam Mo, and after that day, we immediately booked another trip with him. Sam Mo is professional, welcoming and informative. He is also an amazing photographer and, unbeknownst to us, took the best shots I've had during a trip. I definitely couldn't take such great photos on my own. We felt safe and secure the whole time with Sam Mo, and I recommend him to all my friends visiting Cairo. He is also an expert in the history of Egypt but doesn't overwhelm you with too many facts. He was simply the best guide I've had.

Response from the operator: Dear K.... Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and your kind words. It was truly a pleasure having you with us and showing you a little of Egypt through our hearts & eyes. I'm very happy to know that you enjoyed your experience, and I hope the memories, photos, and moments we shared together will stay with you for so many years to come. Thank you again for trusting us with part of your journey in Egypt. Warm regards, Sam & Mo Travel

Is Giza Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum Tour worth it?

    +

How many days do you need in Giza?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
