Great getaway with a fabulous guide.
What a lovely experience. Our guide, Erik, was friendly, knowledgeable, and witty. The tour had a nice mix of structured and unstructured time. With only 6 people included on the van it was easy to keep on schedule and Erik did a lovely job navigating challenges with an annual event falling on our tour day. Highly recommend this tour. All three stops were picturesque, interesting, and enjoyable. Great way to see more than the city alone.

A well-paced and varied...
A well-paced and varied day visiting some popular tourist spots outside of Amsterdam city. Reinier was informative about each location and provided time and recommendations for us to get the best out of each site. Highly recommended.

Windmills and Giethoorn Tour
Reinier was our guide on this wonderful tour. He was so knowledgeable and really held our interest with the stories and information he shared. The tour had the perfect amount of walking and hearing info and free time to explore on our own. I did not even know that the village of Giethoorn existed and our boat ride and exploration of the village was all of our favorite part.

A lovely day outside Amsterdam
This was a wonderful day out seeing the beautiful Dutch windmill village of Zaanse Schans, the manmade marvel of Afsluitdijk, and the fairytale village of Giethoorn. While Zaanse Schans is a bit touristy, the cheese was a must try and seeing the beautiful working windmills was nice. Giethoorn also attracts a lot of tourist, but the village seems untouched in many ways so taking the canal boat was a lovely way to see this lovely place. Renier was an exceptional guide and gave great tips and info.

Is Giethoorn, Afsluitdijk, Zaanse Schans Day Tour Incl Hotel Pick Up worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 93 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 1,930 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Giethoorn, Afsluitdijk, Zaanse Schans Day Tour Incl Hotel Pick Up?

How far in advance should I book Giethoorn, Afsluitdijk, Zaanse Schans Day Tour Incl Hotel Pick Up?
+
Around 676 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
