What you get

    About this experience

Gibraltar, one of the most particular cities and full of history, is a connected place whose waters divide two continents: Europe and Africa. Book and we will take care of the rest. Escape from the hustle and bustle of Seville and come with us to Gibraltar to know the British overseas territory. Enjoy the amazing views of the Strait of Gibraltar that divides Europe and Africa, visit the Europa point, and the Saint Michelle cave, located inside the Upper Rock Nature Reserve of Gibraltar. Look for the local Barbary apes (the only wild monkeys in Europe). Take advantage of the tax-free prices to purchase some bargains at Main Street and much more. We strongly recommend reviewing the "Additional Information" section carefully, as it outlines essential requirements for accessing Gibraltar.

A good day out from Seville taunted by a broken down tour bus

Raphael picked us very close to our hotel, having messaged us the night before to see if he could find us a closer pickup spot to the one we were given. His customer service and friendliness continued through the day and he even played music by our favourite artists in the car. The tour once in Gibraltar was just what we wanted to see but unfortunately our bus broke down at the tunnels and we had to wait for a replacement. Dave our tour guide was great. Lots of humour and lots of facts too. However it meant we had no time left to spend in Gibraltar’s town centre which we wanted to do.

Response from the operator: Dear Judith, Thank you for sharing your experience. We're delighted to hear that Raphael's attention, friendliness and customer service helped make your day enjoyable, and that Dave's knowledge and sense of humour added to your visit to Gibraltar. 😊 We sincerely regret the unexpected bus breakdown during the Rock Tour. Unfortunately, situations like these are beyond our control, but we understand how disappointing it was to lose the free time you had hoped to spend in Gibraltar's town centre. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again on another adventure in Spain. 🇪🇸✨ Best regards, Discovering Spain

    Gibraltar Overview

Great experience as a overview of Gibraltar and saw all the touristic features, just not enough time to see them in more detail

Response from the operator: Dear Richard, thank you! 🌟 We are glad you had a great experience and enjoyed seeing Gibraltar's highlights, like the Rock and St. Michael's Cave. 🐒 Since it is a full-day trip from Seville, time at the site can feel a bit quick, but we are happy it provided a wonderful overview. 🙌 We hope to see you again! ✨ The team Discovering Spain.

    Buyer Beware

Be aware, you need to bring a passport. It is not clear on the Viator website when booking. We drove all the way and did not have passports. The driver asked us when we got there, why not ask before we boarded? The tour company Discovering Spain, sent us emails with a lot of informations and buried in the emails is a line about passports. This should be highlighted in BOLD. After 2.5 hours of driving we just turned back. We asked if the driver could give us a tour of Seville and was told no. The tour company sent us a letter saying it’s not their issue and they fulfilled their obligation , no refund or partial refund . Not sure how they full filled it when we didn’t see anything for 3 hours and should get some refund back. We offered to go the next day and asked if we could get a discount and was also told no, not their issue. anyways, bad experience. Although we did not see the fine print about the passports, we wasted 5 hours of driving. The tour company was not helpful or compassionate in anyway or willing any type of partial refund. We are from Canada and not Europeans and do not carry passports with us. A lack of kindness, empathy and customer service . Horrible company to deal with.

Response from the operator: Dear customers, When traveling to any country, it is mandatory to carry your passport or the document appropriate to your nationality. It is also the customer's responsibility to check whether or not a visa is required for entry. Similarly, if you are coming from Canada, you need a passport to enter Spain. The same applies to Gibraltar (as it is a separate country); you must have the necessary documentation. We understand your frustration at not being able to visit Gibraltar; however, the passport information is very clear from the moment you make your booking. This information is included in the description before booking, in the OVERVIEW section, and in the ADDITIONAL INFORMATION section: - "Non-EU citizens must ensure their passport has a valid entry stamp for Spain or Europe. Otherwise, they will be unable to cross the border, and we cannot guarantee admission." - "All non-EU passengers must carry a valid passport with the appropriate entry stamp for Spain or Europe; without this documentation, entry into Gibraltar is not permitted and is beyond our control." "All passengers must carry a valid passport to access Gibraltar." "All participants must check in advance whether they require a visa to enter Gibraltar; this is the traveler's responsibility and must be arranged prior to the visit to avoid any issues." Two days before the tour, important information regarding their trip to Gibraltar was sent to them. At the beginning of the email, just below the meeting point information, we reiterated the need to bring their passport and included a link so they could double-check the visa requirement for their country of origin. In this case, we cannot offer any refunds. We fulfilled the service contracted through Viator: transportation, driver, and guided tour at the destination. It is not the agency's responsibility to provide compensation if clients forget to bring the only requirement necessary to cross the border. If you need any further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us privately. We will be happy to assist you. Sincerely, Discovering Spain

    Gibraltar Day Trip

Prepare for hot weather even if you are traveling in late October. Just the right amount of time to spend in Gibraltar.

Response from the operator: Hello! We're so happy to hear that your day trip to Gibraltar was very positive. We really appreciate your advice about the weather: it's true that southern Spain can be warm even in late October, but it depends a lot on the year. The weather is somewhat unpredictable with the changing seasons! Thank you for your review! We hope you have wonderful memories of Gibraltar. Best regards, The Discovering Spain Team

Gibraltar DayTrip from Seville: Rock Tour, St. Michael & Monkeys: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seville.

How much does Gibraltar DayTrip from Seville: Rock Tour, St. Michael & Monkeys cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Gibraltar DayTrip from Seville: Rock Tour, St. Michael & Monkeys take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seville is not rushed.

Is Gibraltar DayTrip from Seville: Rock Tour, St. Michael & Monkeys worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Gibraltar DayTrip from Seville: Rock Tour, St. Michael & Monkeys?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Gibraltar DayTrip from Seville: Rock Tour, St. Michael & Monkeys suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Gibraltar DayTrip from Seville: Rock Tour, St. Michael & Monkeys?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seville and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Gibraltar DayTrip from Seville: Rock Tour, St. Michael & Monkeys start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seville?

    +

On Outty we rank every Seville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Seville Tapas Crawl Tour by Food Lover Tour, Seville: Paella & Tapas Cooking Class + Triana Market Tour, Sevilla Food Tour: Tapas, Wine, History & Traditions. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seville?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seville?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
