What you'll see and do

  1. Giant's Causeway

The Giants Causeway, the main attraction of the North Antrim Coast is one of the brightest and best attractions on the whole island of Ireland. The Causeway itself has plenty of Irish myths for your guide to tell while your visit to the attraction is under way. To see the Giants Causeway is certainly breath-taking but to experience it with the beliefs of a giant actually building it, is another. The hexagonal patterns that create the different structure like formations through the rocks can be verified by none other than yourself with things like 'The Wishing Chair', 'The Camel', 'The Giants Foot' and the Cliff-Top Path, all of which you will be shown during your experience! Admission to the Giants Causeway is free although there are operational shuttle buses that cost £1 for transport to the Causeway from the carpark, alternatively you can walk the route with no cost at all. Admission to the Giant's Causeway is free, there is a separate fee into the visitors centre. **Please Note** Admission to the attraction is free! If you wish to go into the Visitors Centre there is a charge.

  2. Carrick A Rede Rope Bridge

The Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge was first established in 1755 – nearly 265 years ago! In its day there was only one single hand rail and the odd wooden slate every few steps. It was highly unsafe and a real thrill seeker may have found the excitement in crossing. The bridge has massively evolved from then to create a safer experience whilst keeping the excitement and thrill of crossing intact. Located along a stretch of the North Antrim Coast, the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge sits roughly 100 feet over the hollow waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The crossing is often considered daring and for thrill-seekers due to the bridges tendencies to sway in the wind and the drop from looking down. We find this is a great stop and a great piece of the North Antrim Coast to include on our Giants Causeway Tour. **Please Note** - Admission to the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge is done via time slots and bookings. If you are looking to cross the bridge please get in touch and we'll assist you on times to suit

We make a brief stopover at the harbor for an opportunity to visit the spot, take a walk and take some pictures. It's a truly outstanding harbor placed on a piece of the coast you have to experience for yourself.

Giant's Causeway - shore excursion

Tim was an incredible tour guide and this was a tour that we will remember for a very long time. I cannot speak highly enough about how Tim listened to us and our family history when we first got in his van, and he immediately adapted the day's tour to include visiting the church that my Grandma had attended as a young girl and where my great, great grandfather is buried. Every step of the tour was magical, and it was capped off with meeting a cousin at the churchyard, completely a random encounter but never to be forgotten!!!

Fantastic day with our tour guide

Just a great day. The difference was having Chris take us around. Made us feel right at home and he had some great stories along the way. He added an extra stop for me to see Royal Portrush even though that extended our day. If the world was full of Chris’s we would be in a better place! Awesome time seeing the natural wonders of Ireland

Great day exploring the countryside in comfort

We had an amazing day with Chris. The vehicle was immaculate and he was friendly and shared lots of great info about the area as he drove us around the countryside. We really enjoyed the Giant's Causeway and the Castle, and Bushmills Distillery was enjoyable too.

Great wee craic!

We had a great wee craic! Paul is a brilliant tour guide! He is very friendly, informative and witty! He drove us around in a very comfortable and spacious van with very fun lights on the ceiling! We not only saw so many beautiful things/places but learned so much about Northern Ireland & Belfast along the way from a true Irishman. By the end of the tour, we felt like he was a great friend! We highly recommend this tour & Paul to anyone interested in seeing Giant’s Causeway and other spectacular places in Northern Ireland!

Giants Causeway Tour from Belfast + FREE Belfast Taxi Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Belfast.

How much does Giants Causeway Tour from Belfast + FREE Belfast Taxi Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $630 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Belfast usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Giants Causeway Tour from Belfast + FREE Belfast Taxi Tour take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Belfast is not rushed.

Is Giants Causeway Tour from Belfast + FREE Belfast Taxi Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 61 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Belfast, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Giants Causeway Tour from Belfast + FREE Belfast Taxi Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Giants Causeway Tour from Belfast + FREE Belfast Taxi Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Giants Causeway Tour from Belfast + FREE Belfast Taxi Tour?

+

Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Belfast can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Belfast and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Giants Causeway Tour from Belfast + FREE Belfast Taxi Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Belfast within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Belfast?

+

On Outty we rank every Belfast experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include A History of Terror - Belfast City Centre Walking Tour, Belfast Troubles Tour: Walls and Bridges, Giants Causeway and Castles from Belfast: Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Belfast?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Belfast?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
