The tour was okay, but it...

The tour was okay, but it was difficult to hear the guide tell the stories as she was very quiet. It was still daylight for almost the entire tour so the atmosphere wasn’t as eerie as we hoped. Overall the tour was not at the level of the ghost tours we have experienced while travelling and would likely not do it again.

    Packed with curiosities

The tour was not scary but my family loved the guide’s stories. We learned a lot about Venice and it was fun!

Avoid - canceled they canceled tour same day and didnt refund us.

Not a good experience. Canceled ~3hrs before the tour and no assistance or response regarding refunds. Responded to operator's cancelation message and sent 2 other messages to the operator and Viator and no response. Paid 57 Euro for nothing and was "ghosted" by the service. AVOID!

    Great historical stories

The stories were light and with a lot of history and a bit spooky but not too much. It was the busiest season in June so a bit hard to hear the guide but she did her best to talk over the noise. My teenager enjoyed the history and walking through the streets. It would be nice if the busiest streets by the Rialto could be avoided but that’s just a suggestion.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking time out of your day to write this review and the suggestion you left! Your feedback is important to us! We are pleased to read that you had such a good experience with us! We hope that you enjoyed Venice! We are improving our trip experiences as we go, better suited to the feedback left by you! Disappointing

Guide looked bored and was unenthusiastic throughout complaining it was her 3 rd tour that day and that she wasn’t Venetian. I have been on the same tour with another guide through another company and enjoyed it so much I booked again. Tour lasted just over an hour.. whereas others last 2 hours plus! Not good value for money. I was disappointed.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking time out of your day to write this review. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We noted these complaints, and we are going to refer them to who is in charge of the tours. We are improving our trip experiences as we go, better suited to the feedback left by you. Thank you for the input and if you have any further doubts, don’t hesitate to contact us. Regards, Bucintoro Viaggi

Ghosts of Venice - Discovering the Unknown: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Ghosts of Venice - Discovering the Unknown cost?

    +

Prices start at $27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ghosts of Venice - Discovering the Unknown take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Ghosts of Venice - Discovering the Unknown worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.1/5 across 68 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ghosts of Venice - Discovering the Unknown?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ghosts of Venice - Discovering the Unknown suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ghosts of Venice - Discovering the Unknown?

    +

Around 24 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ghosts of Venice - Discovering the Unknown start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
