Not a highlight
Overall very disappointing tour whilst torrential rain at outset may not have helped it did clear up after the first stop. Guide tried hard but we struggled with comprehension of his English. Was expecting Fort Cornwallis would be the highlight but our guide informed us when driving Pass it was closed to the Public for renovations. Suggest the tour company should have advised that prior to our Commitment. Walking tour of the Street art Streets and Chew Jetty okay. But from the itinerary we seem to have missed the coffee stop and also our problem of comprehending of what was being said plus rain earlier in tour meant for a lot of sites and information about them missed. Our approximate 5 hour finished in 2.5 hours and at $124.34 NZD / head???? Suggest Grab and Google a better option.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. This is one of our most popular tours, and we operate it daily with many guests who enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, the heavy rain, the unexpected closure of Fort Cornwallis for renovations, and other circumstances beyond our control affected the tour on that day. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your comments, as they help us improve our service. Warm regards, M. Zaid

Not worth it
Don’t do it we thought it would be so much better - we went to all the crap places but no where good
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We are really sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to inform you that we have already verified with our driver, and he confirmed that the tour was conducted according to the proper itinerary. Just we replaced Fort Cornwallis with Khoo Kongsi Temple due to upgrade and renovation works. This information had already been acknowledged and shared with you in advance. However, we truly regret that the places did not meet your preferences. Your feedback is very important to us, and we will use it to improve our service and guest experience. Thank you for your understanding.

Georgetown Highlights Half Day Penang City Tour(5 hours): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Penang.
How much does Georgetown Highlights Half Day Penang City Tour(5 hours) cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Penang usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Georgetown Highlights Half Day Penang City Tour(5 hours) take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Penang is not rushed.
Is Georgetown Highlights Half Day Penang City Tour(5 hours) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Penang, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Georgetown Highlights Half Day Penang City Tour(5 hours)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Georgetown Highlights Half Day Penang City Tour(5 hours) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Georgetown Highlights Half Day Penang City Tour(5 hours)?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Penang can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Penang and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Georgetown Highlights Half Day Penang City Tour(5 hours) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Penang within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Penang?
+
On Outty we rank every Penang experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Penang Plates Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Good Morning Penang Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Penang: Flexible 6-Hours Highlights. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Penang?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Penang?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
