Inspiring Experience
What this class did was inspire me to cook more - to make homemade pasta, sauce and introduce new ways to cook. I went alone and although the class was 12 people I felt right at home. Well done!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! Reading that our class inspired you to cook more is one of the greatest compliments we could receive. On our home page we say "Better meals, better moments" and we believe it. At Mama Florence, our mission is not just to teach recipes, but to give our guests the confidence and skills to bring authentic Italian cooking and care into their own kitchens. We're also delighted that, even on your own, you felt right at home with guests from all over the world. That is is what the Original Mama Florence experience has been all about since 2013. A heart felt Grazie mille The Mama Florence Team 🍝🇮🇹🍷✨

This was a very nice event. The instructors were very entertaining and excellent chefs. This is a great way to learn about Italian food, meet some nice people and have a great meal.

At Mama Florence, we believe that learning Italian cuisine should be engaging, hands-on, and fun, so it's wonderful to hear that our chefs helped make the experience both entertaining and educational. There's something special about gathering around a table with fellow travelers, sharing stories, learning traditional techniques, and enjoying a meal you've helped create together. We're so pleased you were able to experience that spirit of Italian hospitality with us. Great experience with gelato and a different neighborhood
This was a great (unfortunately too short) experience. My wife and I received a private tour (I guess we were the ones signed up that day), and Yenna was wonderful to spend time with! She explained all about authentic gelato versus "tourist" gelato and ordered a variety of flavors for us at the three shops visited which we ordinarily would not have found. She also essentially gave us a walking tour of the Oltrarno section of Florence and all it has to offer. Despite the rain we enjoyed the tour immensely!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We're thrilled that you and your wife enjoyed your tour and that Yenna made it so memorable—even in the rain! The Oltrarno district is a true gem, and Yenna loves helping guests discover the secrets of authentic Florentine gelato. We hope to welcome you both back to Florence for another culinary adventure in the future!

Our tour guide Romi was...
Our tour guide Romi was so wonderful! Everyone had such a great time! I went with my parents (yes it’s a 10 year old child writing this) and it was not just a a tour and a little bit of gelato history but we learned about Florence itself and went into other shops we never would have gone into if it was not for her. I would recommend this to anyone (kids or not) who likes gelato and is ready to learn a little bit about it and Florence!
Response from the operator: Hi Daniel! Thank you so much for your review! Mama Florence offers a variety of foodie tours designed and run by true experts. We're so glad you enjoyed your tour so much and truly understood our philosophy. Graziee

Gelato Tour Culinary Walk in Florence City Center: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Gelato Tour Culinary Walk in Florence City Center cost?
+
Prices start at $92 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Gelato Tour Culinary Walk in Florence City Center take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Gelato Tour Culinary Walk in Florence City Center worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Gelato Tour Culinary Walk in Florence City Center?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Gelato Tour Culinary Walk in Florence City Center suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Gelato Tour Culinary Walk in Florence City Center?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Gelato Tour Culinary Walk in Florence City Center start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
