Excellent tour experience.

The whole tour was excellent. We had a great time, learnt lots and enjoyed getting to know our tour mates. Starting at the market was interesting and informative. The interaction with the gardener was fun. I think the tour could be separated into two different types, one for the general tourist looking for a fun experience, and one for more experienced gardeners and cooks who have skills and experience and are looking for more in-depth teaching about the herbs, etc and how to cook. But overall it was very good. And we very much enjoyed bicycling, even with the heat. Thank you so much. Regards Arthur

Response from the operator: Dear Arthur Thank you so much for your kind review, Arthur! We’re thrilled to hear that the whole tour was excellent for you—especially that you enjoyed the market start, learned lots, had fun with the gardener, and got to know your fellow tour mates. Your feedback about separating the tour into two styles is a great idea, and we truly appreciate you sharing it. We’re also very glad you enjoyed the biking experience, even with the heat—that’s fantastic! Thanks again, and we hope to welcome you back on another tour soon. Regards,

Fun day being a farmer

The tour was very fun. Host cane to pick us up on time at 830am and we cycled for 5km from our stay. One of my friends cannot cycle so she sat behind the host’s motorbike. There were some photo stops during our cycling journey. When we arrive, we started off with farming, followed by foot massage which we have to top up 100k VND per pax, and finally end off with a cooking session. The spring rolls were one of the best I had in Vietnam. I highly recommend this tour for families and friends.

Loved this trip . Highly recommend it. Beautiful farm.

Best thing on entire holiday. We cycled 5km about 30mins to this vegetable farm. Most of journey is through rice fields so very safe. Bikes were comfy. We prepared soil with an elderly farmer, planted spinach and watered the garden. I had a 15 min foot soak with lemongrass and ginger. Very refreshing for the toes ! Then we cooked our own pancakes which were scrummy . After that we got loads of shrimp, chicken and more pancakes. A very filling lunch. We really enjoyed this. The lady guide from the restaurant was very good, gave us loads of information about the products they grow and tastes of herbs. All the veg and herbs we consumed at lunch were grown there. A super few hours. Highly recommend here.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your appreciation. We are very happy to know that you enjoy so much our tour, this is our motivation for working. Enjoy your holiday

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.

How much does Gardening at Tra Que Vegetable Village and cooking class cost?

How long does Gardening at Tra Que Vegetable Village and cooking class take?

+

Is Gardening at Tra Que Vegetable Village and cooking class worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Gardening at Tra Que Vegetable Village and cooking class suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Gardening at Tra Que Vegetable Village and cooking class?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hoi An?

+

On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hoi An?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
