    Fantastic Studio Tour

From the moment you walk into the studio, you are transported in time to actually see the sets where GOT was filmed. You’ll see the wardrobe, makeup and how filming was done. There are several places that are interactive. Great tour for GOT fans.

    Too far from Dublin

While it was very cool to see the set pieces the travel time and wait for the bus to come back was not worth the money.

    Bad experience with Trip Advisor

In August 2026, I was on a cruise with Celebrity Cruises. One of our stops was in Dublin. I booked an excursion for my wife and me for a bus ride from Dublin to the Game of Thrones museum. Unfortunately, Dublin does not have a dock that allowed the Celebrity Cruises ship (Eclipse) to dock. Instead of docking we had to take a tender. But because the seas were too rough, the Captain canceled all tenders, so we couldn’t go on the bus trip to the museum. I immediately contacted Trip Advisor and asked them to contact the tour operator and I also asked them for a refund. They rejected my request for a refund because my “cancellation” was less than 24 hours before the bus trip. I explained to Trip Advisor that I did not “cancel” the trip; rather, due to the rough seas, the Captain canceled the tenders. Nonetheless, Trip Advisor refused to give me a refund or even a credit for another excursion. They only offered a credit for the same excursion, even though I explained that we live in Hawaii and won’t be returning to Dublin. I am very disappointed with how I was treated by Trip Advisor. They should have at least given me a credit for another booking. Don’t use them if you are on a cruise ship and you need a tender to get to the port.

Game of Thrones Tour Definately Worth Seeing

This tour was very informative about how the Game of Thrones movie was made. If you have not read the book or seen the movie, the audio portion of the tour was not helpful. Reading the display signs alone made it less confusing for me. I was totally amazed on the hours spent and the materials used for this production. The workmanship was beautiful to see. I enjoyed the tour with my daughter who is a big fan of the movie. I could tell my daughter was " in heaven" in viewing this tour! It made mom happy too!

Response from the operator: Thanks for sharing this! Glad the craftsmanship and hours of work behind the production came through, and that you and your daughter enjoyed it together. Noted on the audio guide being less helpful without prior knowledge of the show.

Game of Thrones Studio Tour with Coach Transfer from Dublin: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.

How much does Game of Thrones Studio Tour with Coach Transfer from Dublin cost?

    +

Prices start at $58 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Game of Thrones Studio Tour with Coach Transfer from Dublin take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.

Is Game of Thrones Studio Tour with Coach Transfer from Dublin worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 227 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Game of Thrones Studio Tour with Coach Transfer from Dublin?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Game of Thrones Studio Tour with Coach Transfer from Dublin suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Game of Thrones Studio Tour with Coach Transfer from Dublin?

    +

Around 79 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Game of Thrones Studio Tour with Coach Transfer from Dublin start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dublin?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dublin?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dublin?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
