    Very fun and informative...

Very fun and informative experience! Eric is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the local ecosystem, kayaking basics, and just the local town itself! He was an amazing guide and while we didn’t get to see any manatees because of the weather we still had so much fun learning about the other wildlife along our journey! We definitely plan to come back!

Incredible sights, welcoming and kind staff, and an unforgettable experience! Could not recommend more!

We had an absolutely magical time on the kayaking tour with Eric!! It was a week ago and I'm still thinking about it daily. Not only did we get to see a whole bunch of manatees close up, but we paddled through the mangroves and felt like we were in a whole new world. I got so many awesome pictures and was still able to be in the moment. Eric set us up for success, giving us ample opportunity to make sure that we were prepared beforehand and we all felt completely safe and secure the entire time. As a queer person who was a bit nervous about traveling in Florida, it was really special to get to support such a wonderful queer owned business! All of the employees were so welcoming and kind to all of us and gave us some tips on places to eat/drink in the area too! I would highly recommend A1A to anyone vising the area, as it is clear that they love sharing the beauty and fun of the area they serve.

    Eric is an AMAZING host.

Eric was an amazing guide. So very knowledgeable and had an answer for any questions we had about the environment we were so thoroughly enjoying his knowledge of the local flora and fauna. We could have spent the entire day kayaking with him. Thank you so so much for an awesome time and experience. We want to come back again and hopefully get to experience the bio luminescence on a future trip.

Dont waste the money on the guided tour.

just rent kayaks and go explore the water by yourself. dont waste money on the guided tour. few reasons for the 2 star review #1 i was told it will be a private kayaking tour for our group of 8 people - tuned out to be a tour for group of 15. very upsetting since when i was booking i specifically asked and didnt want to be a part of a large tourist group. Guide had no explanation and didnt care much about it , told me to call the office and figure it out. office staff was apologetic but didnt offer any compensation or solution. #2 our guide just wanted to be done - we were the second LARGE group of the day and she was tired. we were exceptionally large group and she mentioned that herself multiple times. She just kept pushing everyone to paddle along and get the "route" done. #3 our guide blatantly gave wrong information out - anything to keep us moving along. ex: we saw manatees instead of giving the group time to enjoy these creatures she pushed most of the group to the island with some birds. when i inquired why she said she didnt want to disturb the manatees because of "MATING SEASON" its the very END of November there is not the mating in November. She just wanted to be done. in the end we did not get to enjoy the company of the manatees. we also finished in about 1h30 min most of which time we spent paddling along in a super large flotilla.... at the end i asked if we could rent the kayaks for 20-30 min to paddle and she said NO. very disappointing wasted time.

Fully Guided Kayaking Backwater Manatee and Dolphin Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Canaveral.

How much does Fully Guided Kayaking Backwater Manatee and Dolphin Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Canaveral usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Fully Guided Kayaking Backwater Manatee and Dolphin Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Canaveral is not rushed.

Is Fully Guided Kayaking Backwater Manatee and Dolphin Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Canaveral, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Fully Guided Kayaking Backwater Manatee and Dolphin Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Fully Guided Kayaking Backwater Manatee and Dolphin Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Fully Guided Kayaking Backwater Manatee and Dolphin Tour?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Canaveral can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Canaveral and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Fully Guided Kayaking Backwater Manatee and Dolphin Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Canaveral within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Canaveral?

    +

Cape Canaveral is built around Port Canaveral and the Space Coast: Kennedy Space Center trips, launch viewing boats, cruise transfers, deep-sea fishing and dolphin tours in the Banana River. On Outty we rank every Cape Canaveral experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cocoa Beach Aerial Adventures ticket, Port Canaveral to Orlando Airport MCO and Hotels Private Transfer, Dolphin & Manatee Kayaking Tour in Orlando Area. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Canaveral?

    +

Year-round; book around published launch windows. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Canaveral?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
