    Vesuvius and Pompeii

For Vesuvius it was very good, early in the morning not many people, beautiful views!!! For Pompeii, I recommend a guide, because we are given an audiogram and a plan, we get lost quickly!!!

    INADMISSIBLE!!!

We had booked an excursion for the widow and pumped on 31/12/2025 The widow was closed, so we went straight down to Pompei, already I don’t understand that we have to go upstairs to know if the trail is open how it is that the organizers can not contact the trail managers it will avoid unnecessary transport At the end of the visit of Pompei we learn that we will not make herculaneum (option proposed in case of closure of the widow) because it is festive day and the site closes at 1pm... why did we not go to Herculaneum directly descending from the widow instead of going to Pompei? At the end of the excursion we learn that we will be refunded the entrance to the widow who is 12 euros per person!!! I ask for a refund of half of the ticket because the ticket to Pompei is worth 20 euros and that of the widow of 12 euros which means that we paid 64 euros of transport per person, which is unacceptable in view of the service! Moreover the guide abandoned us to the widow she was to meet us in Pompei we never saw him again. The organization really left something to be desired because the care at the tourist office was very messy! Not to mention one of the organizer who told us about toilets in a bar which forced us to consume instead of telling us that there were toilets at the entrance of Pompei!!! You really think we're Americans and by the way we're from Corsica so we know how tourism goes If I don’t get half the tickets refunded I will post this message as a comment on get your guide and around the vesuve Comment put because the company did not want to refund me half the tickets

All good but want your passport for audio tour.

People that giving out devices for audio your want to have your passport as a security. You must be mad if you are happy giving your passport away to strangers. This should be clearly mentioned. I refused to leave my passport with them so missed out on audio tour. There should be option with or without audio when you are paying for experience.

    Good experience and well organized

This excursion is great because you join the 2 visits (Pompeii and Vesuvius) in the same day , both sites so related t so impressive. We had no problem with the organization, all very well. Just a word of advice, in Pompeii go first and see what. More importantly, if you don't give time to something other than that. More prominent.

    Rushed and disappointing

There wasn’t much information given for the booking but we got on a bus and taken to Pompeii from Naples. The Pompeii ruins were good but felt like we needed longer than the time we had. I was 7 months pregnant so told we would have an extra 10 mins to come back down to the bus from Mt Vesuvius but it didn’t wait so the bus we had to get only went to Pompeii and then we had to get two trains back to Naples taking nearly 3 hours. The toilets were all being locked up at the base of Mt Vesuvius, even though people were waiting, which isn’t ideal when pregnant and there’s no other option. The trip felt rushed and had very little info on timings, meeting points, etc. it wasn’t a “full day” as described.

Full Day Vesuvius and Pompeii Ruins Combined Tour from Naples: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does Full Day Vesuvius and Pompeii Ruins Combined Tour from Naples cost?

    +

Prices start at $36 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full Day Vesuvius and Pompeii Ruins Combined Tour from Naples take?

    +

Plan for about 6.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is Full Day Vesuvius and Pompeii Ruins Combined Tour from Naples worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Vesuvius and Pompeii Ruins Combined Tour from Naples?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full Day Vesuvius and Pompeii Ruins Combined Tour from Naples suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Vesuvius and Pompeii Ruins Combined Tour from Naples?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 6.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full Day Vesuvius and Pompeii Ruins Combined Tour from Naples start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
