I forgot my phone charger and borrowed one

I forgot my phone charger at the hotel in Hurghada and my phone died halfway through the day. Our guide Yasser lent me a power bank so I could take photos at Karnak. That saved my day. The Valley of the Kings was first and I took photos before the battery died. The Temple of Hatshepsut was next and I missed some shots. The Colossi of Memnon were quick. Karnak Temple was where the power bank came in handy. The drive back was comfortable. Admission fee was part of the trip. Length of visit was a full day. Atmosphere was helpful and easy. Crowd size was moderate. Staff were prepared. Best for solo travelers who forget chargers.

Friend tried to bargain with the guide

My friend tried to bargain with the guide about the tour price. He thought he could get a discount. Our guide Samir explained the price was fixed. He accepted it and we continued. We then enjoyed the Valley of the Kings and the temples. The Colossi of Memnon were interesting and we took photos. The Temple of Hatshepsut was beautiful and we explored it. The whole day was great despite his attempt. Admission fee was reasonable for the package. Length of visit was about 12 hours. Atmosphere was bargaining then accepting. Crowd size was about 10 people in our group. Staff were honest and clear. Best for friends who try to bargain. Yasser had told us the price was fixed.

A Fantastic Day in Luxor

This full-day trip from Hurghada to the Valley of the Kings was a wonderful experience. The journey was well organized from start to finish, and the transportation was comfortable despite the long distance. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, giving us interesting information about the history of Luxor and the ancient Egyptian civilization. Visiting the Valley of the Kings and seeing the ancient tombs was truly impressive. We also enjoyed exploring the other historical sites during the day and learning about the pharaohs and their fascinating stories. The whole experience was smooth, enjoyable, and definitely worth the trip from Hurghada. We returned with great memories and a deeper appreciation for Egypt's incredible history.

Very Personable & Well Organized

Mohamed our guide was great. Very personable and well organized, gladly again. We checked out all the destinations and never had a longer waiting time than 2-3 minutes. You should be aware that the schedule is tight, so it could be very tiring for people who are not good on foot. The places are absolutely impressive, and you are happy to accept the long journey to and from them. There were always situations during the trip where you felt pressured to buy or book something. We are in Egypt for the first time and apparently this is simply part of it. For a nearly 16-hour tour with full-time supervision for such a price tour, I think you can get over that. We highly recommend Roxana Travel to travelers.

Response from the operator: Greetings from Roxana Travel. On behalf of all the team, we thank you so much for sharing your views and experience with us. Your review is highly appreciated and is very important to us and the community. Thank you again! Roxana Travel Team

Is Full-Day Trip to Valley of the Kings from Hurghada worth it?

+

That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How far in advance should I book Full-Day Trip to Valley of the Kings from Hurghada?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

What are the best things to do in Hurghada?

+

On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids & Museum for First-Time Visitors, Luxury Cruise to Orange Bay and Hula Hula island Trip, Orange Bay Island. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hurghada?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hurghada?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
