Great cities, unfortunately no pleasure with our tour guide
The wait at the Amigo Tours meeting point was tedious. Hardly any seating and a long wait. The tour guide Gabi was terrible and really spoiled the excursion for us. She was like a commander and, moreover, spoke extremely fast in an English with a strong Spanish accent, so it was incredibly exhausting to follow her explanations. Furthermore, she talked without taking a breath until we got dizzy. It was way too much information, and the way she presented it via "verbal diarrhea" was a disaster. Since there was also organizational information included, unfortunately, one could not simply put the headphones away. On the bus, it was added that the speaker was crackling and her information, rattled off like on an assembly line, was not understandable. Upon subsequent inquiry as to where and when the next meeting point was now, because one had not understood anything, she answered cheekily that she would repeat it and one should listen. We envied the Spanish group, who had a relaxed guide who presented the information at a leisurely pace. The announced "free time" of 2 hours in Toledo and 3 hours in Segovia did not exist. We were just whipped through the program. In fact, one had 30 minutes in Toledo and 1 hour in Segovia, which one had to use for eating, drinking, and the restroom, since everything was forbidden on the bus (one was not even allowed to drink water, and with the pace of the tour, it was impossible to drink on the side). We were glad that we did not book the lunch and the admission tickets in order to have some "peace" from Gabi's verbal diarrhea, from which we already had a headache. A shame, because both cities were truly beautiful.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Trip to Toledo and Segovia from Madrid?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Tapas & Wine Tour with Rooftop Views and Local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
