What you'll see and do
Petra
We will pick you up from anywhere in Aqaba & drive to Petra with a short stop on the way. It takes around 2 hours to reach Petra Visitors Center where we start our walking journey to the World’s 8th wonder. After walking 800 m we reach Siq (a rock canal that measures 1200 meters in length, 3 to 12 meters in width, and reaches up to 80 meters in height). The Siq opens up onto Petra’s most magnificent façade – the Treasury, or Al Khazna. After the Treasury, the path broadens into a wide Street of Facades flanked on either side by the tombs that characterize the entire site. The Street of Facades leads us to the 5,000-seat theatre, carved right in the middle of a major cemetery area: Across from the theater at the western side of Jebel Khubtha we reach our final point – Royal Tombs. After a tour of the Royal Tombs, back to Aqaba. The remaining four hours are for transportation.

Great monument, regular experience
Very good experience. Visiting Petra is a must. About the experience with Viator, I am disappointed because of transportation. As soon as seated in the car the driver told me that the booking was for 7 hours, the 8 hours indicated was because he had to prepare the car and clean before (this is not my problem). He explained that the tour would go from hotel to visitor center and that in 3 hours there I only will be able to see 4 things there (3 hours is according him few time), so he offered me to leave me in the second entrance of Petra to allow me seeing 13 monuments, and the cost for taking me there is 30 JOD (because he had to drive 20 kms go and 20 back). The real is that he drove 4 kms go and 4 back, in 5 minutes and I had to pay an extra 30 JOD. He lied to me and I have to pay that extra . Even he was angry when paying for not giving a tip, after paying 30 JOD for 5 minutes. I felt really disappointed. My suggestion is visiting Petra but do it by yourself......

I saw it all and my guide in Petra was wonderful and seeing all of Wati Rum was fascinating and beautiful.
I had an absolutely great experience.Loiy organized a mile ride and to take me to Wati Rum in the afternoon. Everything was seamless. I saw it all. Thank you. It was expensive but my time was critical. And so worth it😁

Honesty is valued .
Overall the driver was very helpful, honest & clear , he saved us from a bunch of drivers who looked greedy and we definitely recommend this driver & his tours , we did tours in aqaba , even during the crisis in middle east ,he was helpful and didn't take advantage of us.

Above and Beyond
The best way to see Petra !!! "We had an incredible day exploring Petra, and it was all thanks to Loiy Ekrayyem Hayel Al-Mawadieh. Not only was he a safe and professional driver, but he also shared fascinating history about Jordan during the drive. He knew exactly when to arrive to beat the tour bus crowds and recommended a fantastic local restaurant that we never would have found on our own. He made our trip stress-free and truly memorable. 10/10 would recommend!"

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full-Day Trip in Petra from Aqaba: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Aqaba.
How much does Full-Day Trip in Petra from Aqaba cost?
+
Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Aqaba usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full-Day Trip in Petra from Aqaba take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Aqaba is not rushed.
Is Full-Day Trip in Petra from Aqaba worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 36 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Aqaba, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Trip in Petra from Aqaba?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full-Day Trip in Petra from Aqaba suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full-Day Trip in Petra from Aqaba?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Aqaba can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Aqaba and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full-Day Trip in Petra from Aqaba start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Aqaba within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Aqaba?
+
On Outty we rank every Aqaba experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Diving Experience in The Heart of Red Sea in Aqaba, Wadi Rum Full Day Jeep Tour + Overnight & Dinner in Bedouin Camp, Diving, Snorkeling & Leisure Cruises by Boat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Aqaba?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Aqaba?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
