The Perfect Guide for Exploring Luxor ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ahmed is one of the most professional and kind-hearted people I've ever met. Having him as our guide made the whole experience absolutely unforgettable. I had the pleasure of exploring the most beautiful temples and historical sites around Luxor with him. The way he explains everything and brings the world of the ancient pharaohs, Egyptian gods, and their fascinating history to life is truly unique. Before you even realize it, you find yourself imagining what life was like back then, understanding why things were done the way they were, and seeing ancient Egypt from a completely different perspective. He took care of every little detail to make sure we had the best possible experience. He was always attentive to our needs, and every time we visited a new site, he would briefly go over what we had already learned, helping us connect everything together. It made the whole journey even more interesting and meaningful. I highly recommend Ahmed to anyone visiting Luxor. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better guide. Without a doubt, when I come back, he'll be the first person I contact. I still have a hot air balloon ride and trips to Aswan and Abu Simbel on my list, and I can't imagine doing them with anyone else.

Thrilling and sophisticated tours with Ahmed
We booked two tours in English language with Ahmed: 1. a 2-3 hour tour of Karnak Temple and 2. a 6-hour tour of the Valley of the Kings plus Temple of Hatshepsut, Tombs of the Nobles and a short stop at the Colossi of Memnon. For the first tour, we met Ahmed at Karnak Temple. For our second tour, Ahmed coordinated a driver for the whole day and picked us up at our residence. We really liked the first tour, and we were totally thrilled with the second tour! Ahmed really knows how to pick the most interesting spots and tell exciting stories. He has in depth knowledge about the ancient political structures, family histories as well as construction and art techniques, which made the tour with him sophisticated but not overloaded. His detailed interpretation of paintings and hiroglyphic texts were impressive and entertaining - his enthusiasm with ancient Egypt culture really is contagious. Also, we always had enough time to view the most beautiful spots for ourselves, take photos and make some short breaks. We had a great time and we really can recommend a tour with Ahmed, especially with very small groups! Some advice: It is best to start early in the morning, as the areas are less crowded and the sun is less hot. You should ask your guide beforehand how much cash you should have ready for the entrance fees (and tips). If you don't know which spots you should visit in the Valley of the Kings, just ask your guide for advice.

July in the Valley of the Kings - lunch to remeber
Ahmed is polite, knowledge and was able to guide us to the must sees and flexible on adapting to our interests. Our day started early, arou d 7 am, and let's say after 36 + degree in July heat we were spent by 2 pm We stopped for some falafels in morning on the way to valley of kings. The valley of kings was impressive, the highlight. Ahmed provide context to what we were going to see which made the experience all the better. Lunch was excellent. It was at a home / restaurant where the mom cooks for you and the dinning area is on the roof. We split one chicken meal, it was sufficient given how spent we where from the heat. It came with several items. Extra, not part of trip. At the way back to our apartment, Ahmed took us to a local produce store where we purchased excellent fruit and drinks. No tourist pricing. The cantaloupe, figs, orange 🧡 The taxi was small and old, but the AC worked, which is quite important. A cold shower and fruit completed a great day.
