The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity,the wonderful decorations include colourful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates etc) and Ramses before the gods. Tomb of King Ramesses lX was the third pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. His name prior to assuming the crown was Amonhirkhopshef. He was the fifth son of Ramesses III and was appointed to the position of crown prince by the twenty-second year of his father's reign when all four of his elder brothers predeceased his promotion to crown prince . The tomb has so much colour and detail even the ceiling above the sarcophagi with its goddess Nut stretching across the space. The sarcophagus is one of the largest in the valley, even though some of the paintings have deteriorated this is one of the most decorated.

Fantastic Day Trip
My guide Khalid Eltayeb did a great job taking me to all of the sites in Luxor. I only had a short time unfortunately but they were able to maximize my day seeing all of the attractions and providing me with a thorough background for each of them. Awesome full day tour of Luxor!
My mother and I spent a full day exploring the finest temples and ancient sites in Luxor with our tour guide/Egyptologist Ragab. Ragab was incredibly knowledgeable of each and every site we visited and a very courteous host as well. We were lucky enough to enjoy a private tour of just the 2 of us for the day beginning first with the Valley of the Kings. Ragab has personally spent time excavating and working in some of the most significant tombs and offered a unique perspective of them. We paid the small additional fee to enter King Tut's tomb and it was so worth it! From there was visited an Alabaster Village where local craftsmen took us on an entertaining journey through the handmade processed goods made from Egypt's stones. Following the village, we made our way to the well preserve Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut for some amazing photos. It can get pretty hot at the top so plan accordingly :) . After this temple, Ragab took us to a delightfully small rooftop restaurant where we enjoyed a host of local foods prepared by the nicest chef. If you're lucky enough to try this place, The Sunflower Restaurant, I encourage you to check it out as well. We departed the West Bank of the Nile via a small boat again waiting for us for Karnak, which is the most impressive site of the tour. It's a vast compound so budget your time wisely. Ragab briefed us on the intricacies of the temple/city which took over 2000 years to build. It's honestly a priceless experience. We wrapped up our tour with the Temple of Luxor, while not as large as Karnak, continues to be well preserved too. Ragab and our driver both provided us with the best experience and ensured us a well organized, effortless day touring Luxor. Couldn't have asked for anything more expect for maybe more time! If you have the option, definitely take advantage of the 2-3 day options so that you can really take your time exploring each of the sites in Luxor. Overall, I really enjoyed our time with Ragab and looking forward to returning to Egypt soon to take in more that it has to offer. I'd recommend this tour to just about any age/family size group in a heartbeat. You won't be disappointed!
