The Best Tour Guide We Have Ever Had

We've had the pleasure of using Sam as our tour guide in Egypt twice, first in 2019 and most recently this year. Our son, who is autistic but high-functioning and very active, was only six years old during our first trip and extremely hyperactive. Sam's patience, kindness, and understanding were nothing short of extraordinary. He held our son's hand throughout the tour, making the experience comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. Sam isn't just a knowledgeable guide with a deep understanding of history—he’s also a family man who truly cares. We used Sam for multiple days during both of our visits, and he went above and beyond by managing not only the tours but also handling car rentals and other necessities. As a family that has visited over sixty countries with our boys, we can confidently say Sam is by far the best guide we've ever had. He has a unique ability to make tours come alive, with incredible patience for children and a gift for making every detail fascinating. If I could clone him to be a worldwide tour guide, I absolutely would. I highly recommend Sam to anyone planning a trip to Egypt—you won’t find a better guide

Response from the operator: I can’t find the words to thank you enough for your kind words 🙏 it’s been my pleasure and honor to guide you and your beloved and blessed family in this sacred land and for many more in the future 🙏

Rough Start but Worth It

There was a mix up between Viator and subsidiary company responsible for the tour. Subsidiary had no record of my voucher and had to wait two hour for pickup at my hotel. Grueling trio to Alexandria, not the driver, but the 3 hours in the sedan. Once there Sam, the tour guide, was outstanding with his knowledge of Alexandria and is skill at taking photos of us! Such at The Fish Market was delicious and scenic.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your honest feedback. I sincerely apologize for the mix-up with the voucher and the delay at pickup—it’s never our intention to cause inconvenience to our guests. I appreciate your patience during the wait and the long drive to Alexandria. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the tour itself, especially exploring Alexandria and the fish market, and that I could assist in making the experience memorable for you. Your feedback is important, and we will work with our partners to ensure smoother coordination in the future. Thank you again for choosing us, and I hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a flawless experience next time. Warm regards, Sam

Long day but worth it!

A long but good day trip. Definitely be ready for a long car ride - you will only spend about 5 hours in Alexandria but if you can't stay overnight this is a great option. Make sure you hear from the company to confirm your booking, I had a two hour delay in departure because of miscommunication. Sam is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide (and a great photographer - let him take your phone and you will get some excellent photos!) - he had options for lunch and knew great coffee shops too :)

Full Day Tour To Alexandria: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Giza.

How much does Full Day Tour To Alexandria cost?

+

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Giza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full Day Tour To Alexandria take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Giza is not rushed.

Is Full Day Tour To Alexandria worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Tour To Alexandria?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full Day Tour To Alexandria suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 20. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Tour To Alexandria?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full Day Tour To Alexandria start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Giza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Giza?

+

On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Camel, ATV Bike, Shopping & Dinner Cruise, Giza Pyramids VIP Private Tour ATV Camel Inside Pyramid & Lunch, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Camel Ride, Lunch & Inside pyramids. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Giza?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Giza?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
