Visiting Rio its a must! What a incredible place with this amazing energy and great vibe. I had this tour that show us a bit of the city and some historical places. The Tour guide Marleide was incredible. What amazing and fun woman, was great to be around her, I had a great time. Besides that she was amazing with local tips and other places that do not have tour or guides. The driver Guilherme was also very nice and really fun to around also.

Honest review. Good, bad, not ugly though!
Hello Ana! The City Tour in Rio de Janeiro was a captivating experience, largely thanks to our guide, "Mini Guia" Roberto. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to the journey. Roberto's anecdotes and insights about the city's landmarks, such as Christ The Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the iconic Celaron Steps, truly enhanced the tour. However, a slight drawback was the timing. I felt that if we had started the tour a bit earlier, it would have allowed for a more leisurely exploration of the main attractions. Spending an additional 10 minutes at each landmark, especially the aforementioned iconic spots, would have been ideal. The desire for more time at these key locations stems from their significance and the wish to absorb the breathtaking views and cultural richness they offer fully. Despite this minor concern, the overall experience deserves a commendable 4/5 rating. The beauty of Rio de Janeiro and its landmarks is undeniable, and the tour provided valuable insights into the city's history and culture. Roberto, however, goes above and beyond. His passion for the city and commitment to making the tour memorable exceeded expectations, earning him a stellar 6/5 rating. His personal touch transformed the tour into an unforgettable adventure. The food? 3/5. Overcrowded buffet… at the end of a very long 8 hr day. We are lunch at 2:30p while we started the day at 07:30! Thanks.
Response from the operator: Hi Hector, We would like to begin by expressing our sincere gratitude for sharing your experience with us. We are deeply sorry that your tour to Búzios did not meet your expectations and we apologize for the inconveniences you faced during the tour. We take all criticism and feedback from our customers very seriously, as it is through them that we can improve our services and ensure more satisfactory experiences in the future. We understand your frustration regarding the discomfort caused by the heat on the bus, as well as the difficulty in hearing the guide during the journey. We will conduct an internal review of procedures to ensure that all issues relating to passenger comfort are appropriately considered and addressed. Regarding the seating policy, we regret any misunderstanding or inconvenience caused by rigid assignments. We will review our internal policies to ensure there is flexibility when necessary so that all passengers can enjoy the best experience possible. It's great to know that you enjoyed the sailing part of the trip and that the team was able to provide you with a positive experience. However, we understand your concern about whether the long bus journey was worth it compared to the time spent on the boat. We will further evaluate this issue to ensure our tour descriptions are accurate and adequately reflect the actual experience. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for giving us the opportunity to improve. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again in the future and provide you with a more rewarding experience. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there is anything else we can do to resolve your concerns or if you require additional assistance. Yours sincerely, Ana.

Full Day Tour of Rio de Janeiro with Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.
How much does Full Day Tour of Rio de Janeiro with Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Tour of Rio de Janeiro with Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.
Is Full Day Tour of Rio de Janeiro with Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 58 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Tour of Rio de Janeiro with Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Tour of Rio de Janeiro with Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Tour of Rio de Janeiro with Lunch?
+
Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Tour of Rio de Janeiro with Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?
+
On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pedra da Gávea hike, your best experience in Rio, Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included, Rio: Tijuca Rainforest Hike, Wildlife, Waterfalls & Caves. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
