Cruise ship Excursion
We had a group of 17 of friends from our. Cruise that went on this trip. We all enjoyed the sights and sounds of Berlin. We had plenty of time to wander on our own and do some shopping or get something to eat. They got us back in plenty of time to the ship! We would all recommend this tour of Berlin.

Tour cancelled by European Essentials with less than 24 hours notice
Our tour was canceled with less than 24 hours before we were scheduled to be picked up. It left us with no plans for our one day to see Berlin. Chat with Viator had us booked with another tour but it was never confirmed and was ultimately denied. Left me very upset. I have used Viator many times with always great results but this experience has me doubting that I will use them again.
Response from the operator: Please note that the cancellation was made in full accordance with Viator’s cancellation policy in the event of insufficient participants. If you have experience booking through Viator, perhaps this is a good opportunity to take a closer look at the cancellation policy of the products you book. This particular tour clearly states that a minimum number of participants is required for departure and that a full refund will be issued if the tour is cancelled for this reason. Regarding the timing, the cancellation was made more than 24 hours in advance, and the system automatically sent the notification to the email address provided at the time of booking. We strongly recommend checking your email or Viator app before any booked activity one day in advance tour start time. The other operator did not accept your booking inquiry for the same reason — insufficient participants. Unfortunately, on days when only MSC ships visit the ports, this can be quite a typical situation across different destinations. Safe travels!

Great Tour but Bring Snacks
This was a great tour overall. They picked us up from our cruise port and drove us to Berlin. Out tour guy Bern was fantastic he knew tons and was full of energy. My only complaint was he didn't let us stop for food. Some of the group wanted to stop but Bern was having none of it. He just ignored the request. So if they split up the tour with a self pay lunch that would be a perfect 5.

It was a fast one! Not worth $198
It’s not worth it! The palace was a waste as you only got to walk around the property. Didn’t even get to go inside. Then places like the Berlin wall and the Kaiser Memorial Church was just a drive by. Gave you 10 mins at Brandenburg and Checkpoint Charlie. I wish they gave us more time in these places. $398 for me and my husband was a bit expensive!

Regarding the limited time available, please address this concern to your cruise line, which allowed only 10 hours for this excursion. Approximately six of those hours are required for the round-trip transfer between Warnemünde and Berlin. Unfortunately, this schedule does not leave enough time for interior visits, which, in any case, have never been included in the tour description. When booking future activities through Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the published description and inclusions rather than on personal assumptions. Safe travels!
