Great Experience!
We had such a great time touring Ninh Binh with Quan! He was organized, easy to communicate with, and very responsive to our questions even before the tour. His English is good, which made everything smooth and enjoyable. Quan was friendly and polite, and he even offered to take photos for us. He also shared interesting history about the places we visited, which made the experience even better. We choose the biking experience, went to Hoa Lu, Trang An, and Mua Cave; everything was beautiful and well planned. The ride was comfortable, the bus was clean, and the driver was experienced. Overall, it was a really enjoyable trip. We’d definitely recommend Quan as a tour guide!

Almost perfect tour!!!!!!!!
The "luxury van" wasn't luxurious at all. The life of the tour was our guide, Quan or Cute 🤣! Funny guy with a lot of knowledge. I give him 5⭐️. Great great single guy. 🤣

Fabulous Excursion!🥳
From the very start, it was an exceptional experience. Quan did an amazing job of getting all the folks from different locations together on time. It was extremely impressive. Once we were settled on the bus, Quan did a fine introduction and set the stage and mood for the day. I was pleased with the way Quan worked to clarify the steps of our day. The activities were so delightful. I loved the Dragon Peak and the Lotus garden. I appreciated that Quan was mindful of my 69 years and offered an arm now and then on the 500 steps, which I managed to 400 🙂 The buffet was okay. The bamboo River float, seeing the caves, and the lovely scenery, was delightful. It was a wonderful day and will be a treasured memory of my trip to Vietnam.

Great tour
This was such a great day trip. Everything was well organised and communicated, from the pick up to the end of the day. Our tour guide Quan was really knowledgeable and friendly, he was very thoughtful and well spoken, highly recommend! Lunch food had a variety of options and tasted really good.

Enjoy the beauty of the Ninh Binh area
A great day trip to explore the beauty of the area. Visited the old capital and temple, had a boat trip on the river “Ha Long on land” and a trip to the Mua cave. Our guide Timber was engaging and informative. The buffet lunch was impressive. Five stars!

Why this scores 88
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full-Day Tour Hoa Lu, Tam Coc Boat Trip and Mua Cave: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Full-Day Tour Hoa Lu, Tam Coc Boat Trip and Mua Cave cost?
+
Prices start at $41 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full-Day Tour Hoa Lu, Tam Coc Boat Trip and Mua Cave take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Full-Day Tour Hoa Lu, Tam Coc Boat Trip and Mua Cave worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 88 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 408 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Tour Hoa Lu, Tam Coc Boat Trip and Mua Cave?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full-Day Tour Hoa Lu, Tam Coc Boat Trip and Mua Cave suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Full-Day Tour Hoa Lu, Tam Coc Boat Trip and Mua Cave?
+
Around 143 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full-Day Tour Hoa Lu, Tam Coc Boat Trip and Mua Cave start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
