    2. White Grotta

The "Grotta Bianca" is one of the main attractions of the Island; the White Cave is so named because of the coloration of the tuff that tinges the sea cavity with light shades. Wide and broad at the entrance, it narrows more and more until it reaches a tufa platform where there are obvious signs of human presence...with a special surprise inside!

The Blue Grotto is optional, as it can be closed due to adverse weather/sea conditions or it can be very busy, with queues that can exceed an hour and a half on certain days.

    This experience was truly...

This experience was truly the best! It was wonderful to see and learn about Capri. We had a few hours to explore Capri and see the city center. Before doing so, we enjoyed a caprese sandwich. We also were able to go for a swim then enjoy Prosecco with the group. Gianluigi was very kind and knowledgeable! He was so helpful afterwards in providing recommendations of places in Sorrento. Highly recommend this experience for anyone looking for a small group boat tour to Capri!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the kind words. It was a pleasure for us to meet you girls!

Full Day Tour from Sorrento to Capri

A perfect day sailing from Sorrento to Capri! Our skipper shared fascinating stories about the Sorrentine Peninsula as we passed Queen Giovanna’s villa, Massa Lubrense and Punta Campanella. Around Capri we explored sea caves, the Faraglioni and enjoyed swimming stops in turquoise waters. On board, everything was provided water, soft drinks and we all shared a glass of prosecco together in front of Capri. Also, the boat was very spacious, comfortable and spotless, making the trip even more enjoyable Truly unforgettable!

Capri Caves, Faraglioni and Welcoming Tour

Gianluigi was super professional and thoughtful: he was afraid that the weather could compromise the tour and asked us for availability for another date, but in the end the day was perfect. With him and his assistant we always felt followed. The boat was clean, comfortable and spacious. The excellent guide: at each attraction they explained curiosities and details in a brief but complete way, even in three languages. We visited all the wonders by sea: Green Cave, White Cave, Blue Cave and of course the Faraglioni. At check-in we were greeted and accompanied to the boat on time, finding fresh drinks immediately. During the navigation they worried that we did not miss anything, proposing refreshments and stops. At Marina Piccola they advised us how to optimize time on the ground and even offered us a caprese sandwich. On the way back new stops for bathing and snorkeling with equipment provided, prosecco and soft drinks on board. Finally, stories about Capri and a homemade limoncello made by Gianluigi’s grandmother made the experience unforgettable. A tour that I highly recommend: Capri is beautiful, but with the Welcoming, kindness and professionalism of Gianluigi and his assistant it becomes even more so.

Response from the operator: Grazie mille per le belle parole, siete stati ospiti molto cordiali e rispettosi, è stato un piacere per noi avervi a bordo!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sorrento.

How much does Full Day Tour from Sorrento to Capri cost?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sorrento is not rushed.

Is Full Day Tour from Sorrento to Capri worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sorrento, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Tour from Sorrento to Capri?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sorrento can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sorrento and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Sorrento?

    +

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sorrento?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sorrento?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
