    Fantastic tour, fantastic tour guide

Unbelievable tour. Our guide, Tamara, was fantastic. She knows everything about Melbourne sports, and everything about sports in Australia and just Australia generally. She was so much fun to talk to and get to know. I can’t recommend this tour enough for any sports fans that come to Melbourne. The guided tour of the MCG was also a highlight as that is led by very knowledgeable volunteers. Just so good!

Sports, sports and more sports with cold beer

Tamara was brilliant, couldn’t fault her. We drove around the City in a Luxurious Minivan which was so comfortable compared to the standard ones that are more commonly used. Between each destination we had a lovely in-depth conversation besides sports and beer which she was very knowledgeable in, she’s also knowledgeable in some history of the City itself. It was awesome to see all the Sport Stadiums and Arenas. Hubby really enjoyed tasting all the different beers as beer is his favourite alcohol drink. Happy days!!!

Response from the operator: Thanks for such a lovely review! It means a lot to us when our guests take the time to leave us a review. I'm so pleased you both enjoyed yourselves on your Sports and Beer Tour! Melbourne really does deserve its title of sports capital of Australia and we love to show people that side of the city. We often describe Tamara as a walking encyclopedia of sport so she's the perfect host for those tours!

    Sports Heaven

Our guide Tamara was a wealth of information about all the sports venues we went to and provided information that was of great value. We were a small group and we had a fantastic time when we visited F1 Circuit, Flemington Racecourse & MCG were I was able to go into the change rooms of the Mighty Tigers. Lunch was provided at a nice cafe in Richmond and the tour finished at a Craft brewery in Sth Melbourne. All in all a great day had by all, thank you Tamara and your team.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for a lovely review Paul! It was wonderful meeting you and spending the day with you. I'll pass your feedback on to Tamara who I know will be thrilled. We'd love to see you on another of our tours some time! Jess

Excellent Tour for sports and beer lovers

Tamara was our guide and she was fabulous wiith her knowledge in showing us everything on this tour up close and personal in our small group including Flemington Racecourse, inside the MCG, driving past some former footy grounds and of course a brewery tour. Highly recommended for anyone to do

Response from the operator: Thanks for your review. It's wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed your day, and we're glad you agree that sport and beer are a great combination!

    Amazing for sports fans!

Had so much fun on this tour. Went to all the major sporting grounds and got to hear the history of each one. Andrew was really accommodating and knowledgeable. We did have to do a last minute change for lunch, but that was all taken in stride and easily fixed. Would highly recommend this tour for any sport fan

Full-Day Sports and Beer Tour of Melbourne with Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Melbourne.

How much does Full-Day Sports and Beer Tour of Melbourne with Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $227 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Melbourne usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full-Day Sports and Beer Tour of Melbourne with Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Melbourne is not rushed.

Is Full-Day Sports and Beer Tour of Melbourne with Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Melbourne, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Sports and Beer Tour of Melbourne with Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full-Day Sports and Beer Tour of Melbourne with Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full-Day Sports and Beer Tour of Melbourne with Lunch?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Melbourne can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Melbourne and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full-Day Sports and Beer Tour of Melbourne with Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Melbourne within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Melbourne?

    +

On Outty we rank every Melbourne experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Melbourne: Yarra Valley Wine, Gin, Whisky and Chocolate Tour, Yarra Valley Wine Tour w Exclusive Gin, Cider & Chocolate Tasting, Yarra Valley Wine Tour from Melbourne - Choc, Gin & Good Times. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Melbourne?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Melbourne?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
