Great boat day on the Amalfi coast - With Tips
The boat trip to Amalfi coast was nice, about what I had expected. There are a few things I wish I had known before we booked so here goes. The drive from the pickup point to Sorrento where you board the boat is about an hour and 20 minutes on a pretty windy road. One we arrived at the boat area, we needed to wait another hour to board the boat. Once we got on the boat it was comfortable (12 people fit comfortably) and a nice boat with some shaded areas. The captain and Claudia our tour guide were both excellent at ensuring we had a nice trip. We boated along the coastline for about an hour, then stopped to swim, which was great because it was hot!!! Next we stopped in Amalfi for about :90 minutes which was really the perfect amount of time. We boated more then got to Positano. On that stop, my family opted to stay on the boat and go with the captain and host to the boat waiting area where we were able to swim and do some rock jumping (so fun). After Positano, we made our way back along the coastline with one more swim stop. If you get seasick at all, it’s truly best to take Dramamine before you get on board, it helped quite a lot (some of our travelers did not fare so well against the open sea 🤢) If you can find a boat tour that leaves from where you are staying (no bus/ferry ride) that is your best bet, but if that’s not an option this is a great one!!

Amazing tour!!
We had a fantastic time!! Francheso was our guide and Luka our caption and they were both phenomenal. Our bus driver was also great and got us to and from the boat location on time and safely. The sightseeing was amazing and we also learnt a lot from Francheso and Luka along the way. The tour was the highlight of our trip!! We highly recommend it Thank you!

Great Way to See Amalfi Coast
This small boat, with a maximum of 12 guests, tour is a great way to see the Amalfi Coast; in my case, from Naples. It’s mostly just a look at scenery from the boat as we sail past, but that is a great way to see these sites. My only reason for not giving it a 5★ rating is that they stopped at the office to charge an extra 10€/person fee that they described as a destination fee. This rubbed me the wrong way as it amounts to a deceptive pricing tactic. How did they not know what the destination was when they offered the tour? It’s deceptive.

Amazing private boat tour!
This was so worth the money! There was only 12 of us on the boat so it didn’t feel crowded at all. We got to swim in the sea, they had drinks and snacks for us the whole time, and the views were absolutely beautiful. They even picked us up close to our hotel and dropped us back off after, which made everything convenient. Our boat driver Manuel was seriously the best! He made sure everyone was okay the whole trip, kept the drinks and snacks coming, and explained where we were along the Amalfi Coast and the history behind everything we were seeing. I also ended up making friends with people from different parts of the world, which made the whole experience even better. The crew was super friendly and made sure everyone was having fun. I definitely recommend this tour if you’re visiting the Amalfi Coast. I would 100% do it again!

If you don’t get motion sickness, this is a great way to see the Amalfi coast. Giving you time to visit the town of Amalfi & Positano.

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full day Small Group Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast from Naples: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Full day Small Group Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast from Naples cost?
+
Prices start at $144 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full day Small Group Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast from Naples take?
+
Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Full day Small Group Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast from Naples worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 77 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full day Small Group Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast from Naples?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full day Small Group Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast from Naples suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full day Small Group Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast from Naples?
+
Around 27 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full day Small Group Boat Tour of the Amalfi Coast from Naples start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
