Establish exactly what you are paying for!

The English speaking guide was very good as was lunch before the boat trip across the Nile and were the best part of this experience - other than the antiquities. Make sure you know EXACTLY what you are paying for- what is included and excluded. The drivers were uncaring about their passengers, did not check that they were all on board or comfortable. They did not wear a distinguishing badge or uniform and did not introduce themselves or seem to have adequate documentation to show which tour guide they were working for. The driver drove with one hand whilst on his phone much of the time and stopped at a busy junction to have a cigarette with a driver from the van in front of us. He did not inform us as to why we had stopped or communicate with us in any way. The van was cramped and very hot even though there was supposed to be aircon. There was a “cold box” with drinks for the passengers but the drinks were warm. The antiquities were amazing of course. I would not recommend Viator.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review, All of our data of ( what is included and excluded) is mentioned in our page in Viator. Concerns Tutankhamun tombs is the only thing extra and no one company keeps it included. Our priority is when people book a private tour, with our minimum numbers of people which 2 pax, but your request to join other clients. The van is Air-conditioned, but as we go driving over 600 mtrs above the sea level early in the morning, we can not make our van very cold, But as soon as our client ask for Air-conditioning on , we turn it on for them, it seems there were no request for that. and that was during the daytime, correct me if I'm wrong. Concern the driver smoke a cigarette, they have to stop for the convoy as and they allow the drivers to start in specific times in each convoy. The Drinks are given from our side as hospitality from our side, which is extra giving. From ourside, I have to refer to the driver. Eventually, I respect your review and makes us work better in the next trip. Thanks again Gerges

How far in advance should I book Full Day Private Valley of the Kings and Luxor City?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. +

On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada: Luxor Valley of the Kings & Tutankhamun Tomb Trip, Orange Bay Island, Luxury Cruise to Orange Bay and Hula Hula island Trip. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hurghada?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hurghada?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
