Some interesting places worth mentioning, others was just so-so.

Tour GUIDE- mr khaled vast knowledge with history / info of Aswan. Philae temple - beautifully preserved / restoration site surround by water of the high dam …. Can only be assess by motorboat . (Maybe this is why it is well maintain - less number of people going there at one time ) - Must go to see if u are in Aswan . High dam - amazing view . (5 minutes is plenty of time to enjoy the view) - ( not sure it worth the cost of the ticket to get inside ) Obelisk - not worth going and the cost of the ticket ( 80 EGP) . Overall - MUST :the Philae temple, MAYBE : high dam but can live WITHOUT the obelisk site .

    Aswan day tour from Luxor

We did a private full day tour from Luxor to Aswan. We visited Edfo temple, the High Dam, and Philae temple. Our guide Hassan was very friendly and knowledgeable, and our driver Hamid was excellent. The inscriptions and sculptures at Philae and Edfo temple were amazing. It represented ancient Egyptian artistic skill at its best. We did have a strict schedule on when we wanted to return back to Luxor and our guide appeased our request. We had lunch at Grand restaurant in Aswan which was very tasty. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience!
