1. Ajman Fish Market

   Located just off the Sharjah corniche, beside an array of fishing boats in the water, Souq Al Jubail stands as a landmark with domes and pillars that are traditional to Islamic architecture. Fish are hauled in from nearby boats, making the souk the quintessential Sharjah fish market. It also serves as the ultimate fruits and vegetables market, featuring local and freshly imported produce at reasonable prices. Souk Al Jubail is, therefore, one of the most ideal places to visit in Sharjah for grocery shopping. If you’re looking for things to do with kids, put this on your list of places to visit with the family. Your kids can spend time in the central atrium, while you cross everything off your grocery list.

2. Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization

   This unique museum offers art lovers and all visitors the opportunity to admire the art collections and temporary exhibitions hosted and organized by the museum. In addition, the museum offers the chance for visitors to participate in its programs and workshops.

3. Quran Roundabout

   The Quran Roundabout is located just off the busy centre of the city and is a major intersection. Also known as the Cultural Square, this roundabout has a big garden in the middle with an open Quran sculpture. Adding more value to the place is the numerous architecturally rich buildings all around the circle. On one side is the Cultural Palace, used as a venue for cultural performances. Next side is the beautiful Sharjah Library building. Third side are two buildings: the office of His Highness the ruler of Sharjah and the government departments building. On the 4th side is the Ahmed Ibn Hanbal mosque.

4. Umm Al Quwain

   Umm Al-Quwain is the capital and largest city of the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain in the United Arab Emirates. The city is located on the peninsula of Khor Al Bidiyah, with the nearest major cities being Sharjah to the southwest and Ras Al Khaimah to the northeast.

5. Ras Al Khaimah National Museum

   The northernmost emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is a perfect mix of culture, traditions, serenity and modernity. Travel to Ras Al Khaimah where you’ll visit the ancient Queen of Sheeba Palace and Banyan Tree Al Wadi, famed for its leisure attractions. A smooth ride of about 85 kilometers will finally bring you to Fujairah. Being the UAE’s only emirate which is entirely lying on the Gulf of Oman, this northerly emirate will bowl you over with its mountainous landscape and mesmerising points of interest like Fujairah Museum, Masafi Market, and Khorfakkan Beach.

6. Al Bidya Mosque

   Al-Bidya Mosque is a historical mosque in the Emirate of Fujairah, the United Arab Emirates. It was the oldest known mosque in the country, prior to the discovery in September 2018 of the ruins of a 1000-year-old mosque dating back to the Islamic Golden Age, near the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque in the city of Al Ain, Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Still in use, it is located in the small village of Al-Badiyah or Al-Bidiyah, about 40 km (25 mi) north of the Emirate's capital city, and is also known as the "Ottoman Mosque"

7. Friday Market

   Friday Market is open seven days a week and it is an excellent hunting ground for traditional souvenirs, delicious street food, and affordable goods. Remember to haggle, as most items can be bought below the asking price. Aside from grabbing a couple of bargains, visiting the market is an eye-opening experience for those looking to glimpse the lives of ordinary citizens.

8. Khorfakkan

   Located on the east coast of the UAE along the Gulf of Oman, Khorfakkan is a major tourist attraction. Khorfakkan Beach is what this town is most famous for. Situated north of the town centre, Khorfakkan Beach has a thriving coral reef, which is a testament to the government’s conservation efforts. Naturally, it has become a favourite spot for marine life enthusiasts. While this town comes under Sharjah, geographically it is surrounded by the emirate of Fujairah.
