    About this experience

For those with a day to spare in India's fascinating capital, this private tour is a perfect opportunity to soak in all its beauty. On this tour of Delhi, one of the most amazing cities in the world, we visit both Old Delhi and New Delhi. In Old Delhi, the four-hundred year old part of the city, we visit India's largest mosque Jama Masjid (25000 people can pray here at a single time!), and explore its bustling bazaars : the wedding articles market Kinaari Bazaar, and the nose-numbing spice market Khari Baoli are the highlights. We have numerous photo opportunities during this slow-paced walk. Later, in New Delhi, we visit the UNESCO-enlisted Qutub Minar, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, and drive past magnificent structures of the colonial era (India Gate, Presidential Palace, Parliament House etc. ).

Amazing tour - thank you Mona!

Had the most amazing tour around Delhi with Mona! We are here for a work trip and wanted to see as much of Delhi as possible in a short time. Mona’s tour exceeded all expectations! Having been told there wasn’t much to see in Delhi, we’ve definitely been convinced otherwise. Mona took us to so many incredible spots, including Delhi Old Town where we would have been completely lost without his local knowledge. He allowed us to customise our tour to hit all the spots we’d wanted to see, and knew the answers to all of our many questions. If you don’t know where to start with exploring Delhi, then highly recommend a day tour with Mona! Thanks so much to Mona and our driver (who expertly navigated Delhi’s hectic streets). An experience we will never forget!!

    Immersive tour of New Delhi

Jatin lead an immersive one day Delhi tour for a friend and I. I initially booked this tour more for my friend (her first visit to Delhi, whereas I had previously visited); I joined the tour so my friend wouldn’t have to go alone. Jatin, however, is an immersive storyteller and put his own spin on the tour. Even having previously toured these areas, with Jatin I really enjoyed this repeat visit.

Response from the operator: Dear Katie, Thank your very much for sharing your valuable feedback and appreciating our work. We are glad to know that you had a great time on the tour and loved the overall experience. Hope to have you with us again in the future. Kind regards, Team EIT

    Mona is the best!

Mona is an excellent tour guide! We spent a full day with him on a customized, private tour of Delhi. I reached out with a proposed list of places and Mona took it from there and put together an excellent and manageable itinerary. His communication pre-tour was always timely and professional and he was also punctual. His enthusiasm for the places and information he shared with us made a long day of sightseeing seeing fly by and it was great for helping combat jet lag having just landed the night before. He was accommodating throughout, adapted the plan as needed based on changing circumstances and kept control of things even in hectic and crowded situations. As if that wasn’t enough, he’s an ace with the camera and many of the photos he took are our favorites of the trip. You can tell he is an experienced guide who loves what he does. Thanks, Mona, for an excellent start to our holiday in India.

Response from the operator: Dear Madam, Thank your very much for sharing your valuable feedback and appreciating our work. We are glad to know that you had a great time on the tour and loved the overall experience. Hope to have you with us again in the future. Kind regards, Team EIT

    Great with kids

We visited India with our two boys age 5 and 7 and did a half day tour in Delhi as well as a day trip to Agra. India can be a bit overwhelming for little kids and Mona was fantastic with them, explaining interesting facts to them and understanding their needs and that tired, jet lagged kids might not always make the best travel partners! Mona took the trouble out of planning, he recommended great itineraries, had great drivers, helped buy tickets and even took some great family photos for us! We had a great time on both trips and would highly recommend!

    Pleasant and insightful tour

The tour with Mona has been very interesting from the start. He is a great host and a very amiable person to talk to. He has a great knowledge of the city history and gave us some valuable insights on the melting pot that is Delhi. He gave us time to visit the landmarks by ourselves, so we could make our own idea and then discuss it with him afterwards. Mona not only took us to some must-see monuments, but included other hidden gems as well, that made the tour even more worthwhile. Definitely recommend booking this tour to get a true feeling of what old Delhi is and represents for the locals.

Response from the operator: Dear Sir, Thank your very much for sharing your valuable feedback and appreciating our work. We are glad to know that you had a great time on the tour and loved the overall experience. Hope to have you with us again in the future. Kind regards, Team EIT

Full Day Private Tour Of Old & New Delhi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does Full Day Private Tour Of Old & New Delhi cost?

    +

Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full Day Private Tour Of Old & New Delhi take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is Full Day Private Tour Of Old & New Delhi worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Private Tour Of Old & New Delhi?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full Day Private Tour Of Old & New Delhi suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Private Tour Of Old & New Delhi?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full Day Private Tour Of Old & New Delhi start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

    +

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
