About this experience

Drive towards the scenic coastal road of Athens to the magnificent structure of the Corinth Canal, the southern peninsula of Greece. The driver will take you to Nafplio and visit Mycenae and Epidaurus the way world heritage-listed Mycenae is one of the most ancient places in Europe. Mycenae is considered the greatest and richest kingdom of the later Bronze Age around 1350 B.C. Walk around the archaeological park, pass through the great Lionesses Gate, explore the Ancient Treasure of Atreus also known as King’s Agamemnon Tomb as well as the Tomb of Clytemnestra. Epidaurus was famed and revered far and wide for centuries. The theatre is perhaps the best-preserved theatre of ancient Greece. Epidaurus was a sanatorium, connected intensively with the Asclepeion healing temples. Nafplio, is the town where Greece meets Italy. Built with stepped streets overhung with balconies dripping bougainvillea, handsome neoclassical buildings, and enticing shops and restaurants.

This was an over payed...

This was an over payed taxi ride. Tour company made promise to add Sparta and Mystra, but decided they wanted an additional 240 Euro when we arrived at first cite. Tour was also to include boat ride to Boutzi did not happen. Tour was a total let down. Very Very disappointed.

Response from the operator: Sorry you feel that way. Because it’s off season at this time the small boats to Bourtzi does not have scheduled routes every day but only Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Your tour was on November 16th which was Wednesday and so it couldn't be done on that particular day. The driver however, did explained that this is the case to you when he took you to Nafplio and even asked the authority there at Nafplio as well for you to be sure of it. About Sparta and Mystra, we did not promised this to you for the same tour package price because it is very far away and it is extra, it cannot be done for the same package you picked. And so we did not charge for anything additional. Thank you again!!

+

Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Private Tour in Mycenae, Epidaurus and Nafplio?

+

How far in advance should I book Full-Day Private Tour in Mycenae, Epidaurus and Nafplio?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

+

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
