Francois
The tour was a highlight of our time on the French Riviera. To be honest, I wasn’t initially sure about the company. Our original tour was canceled at 9:45 the night before, and the communication throughout that process wasn’t great. Then we met François. He was our guide for the day, and he took the experience to another level. We are a family of four, and he made the day feel personal from the moment we met him. He was an excellent, confident driver, easy to talk to, and incredibly knowledgeable about the region. More than anything, it was obvious how much pride he takes in his work. He genuinely wanted us to have an amazing day, and because of that, we did. Our day exploring Verdon and seeing the lavender fields is something our family will remember for years. My insider tip? If you have the chance, book whatever tour François is leading on the day you’re available. He’s that good. Thank you, François! My wife brought the lavender home, and we plan to plant it in Boston as a reminder of this incredible trip. Thank you also for the draft beer recommendation. Having a cold beer after the swim was the perfect way to end the day. Five stars, thanks almost entirely to François.

The driver was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He adjusted the schedule to give us additional time at Lac Saint Croix. This was a fabulous way to see the lavender fields, gorge Verdon, and small towns.

Exceeding our expectations
Justin was the best tour guide and driver we've ever had on our many travel tours. She has a kind heart and genuinely loves helping people. Her passion for driving and showcasing the beauty of this region truly stands out. Justin provided excellent suggestions and was attentive to our preferences regarding where to go and how long we wanted to stay in each place. She was very accommodating, which allowed us much flexibility during the trip. Thanks to her, we were able to visit unforgettable villages, enjoy breathtaking views of the Verdon Gorges, have a fantastic experience boating on the most beautiful waters, and capture the most romantic images in the world-famous lavender fields. Justin went the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful experience, exceeding our expectations.

Don’t hesitate to book
Wonderful tour- probably my favorite I did in all of Europe. Started with a hiccup where I put down the wrong hotel for pickup but our driver Matt was very patient and understanding and came to get us at the correct hotel. The roads are very curvy so take some Dramamine if you have ever had any issues with carsickness. Also the lavender fields are only in season June to July so beware you may not see the big purple blooms. The entire trip was absolutely gorgeous. Verdon gorge was spectacular. Also really enjoyed the little villages. Highly recommend this tour if you have an extra day to spare.

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full Day Private Tour in Lavender and Provence with Pickup: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nice.
How much does Full Day Private Tour in Lavender and Provence with Pickup cost?
+
Prices start at $649 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Private Tour in Lavender and Provence with Pickup take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nice is not rushed.
Is Full Day Private Tour in Lavender and Provence with Pickup worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Private Tour in Lavender and Provence with Pickup?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Private Tour in Lavender and Provence with Pickup suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Private Tour in Lavender and Provence with Pickup?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nice and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Private Tour in Lavender and Provence with Pickup start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nice?
+
On Outty we rank every Nice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include ★ Walking Tour of Old Nice and Castle Hill, NO DIET CLUB - Unique Local Food in Nice !, Nice City Segway Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nice?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nice?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
