    Tangier Was Beautiful

We had a lovely day with our guide. She was very personable and sweet. She took us to all the places we wanted to see. We had booked a private tour that was 3x the cost on our private tour in Casablanca. As the approached Omar asked us if another couple could join us 2 days before. My husband likes to go fast, and create his own itenary, so it made it limiting to do this. When Omar asked if out private tour could have another group he didn't offer a discount. Instead, he said, he would cancel on us, and find another couple because it was busy. That didn't feel very professional. So my husband had me ask for some kind of price break. Omar through in lunch for us and the other couple. It made for a nice break, and should be a part of the tour. It was at a quaint little restaurant, and the food was a fun experience. As we got to know the other couple, we found out they also had booked a long time before. Omar told them the same story about a last minute booking. We ended up enjoying each other but both of didn't like the bait and switch and would rather full transparency on it NOT truly being private, and changing the offer to a small group experience. Lastly, no one told us the stops that took money were not included and to have local currency. Soour tour guide kindly had enough change and we paid her back. Had she not, we would not have been able to enter Hercules Cave. We also had to have money to use the restroom there which we did not. So I think these small overtures should be added to the cost so that the traveler has no issues seeing the sights. Or at least state what is needed in the description. We had other people from the boat that were unable to see Hercules or ride the camels because they didn't know or have the correct currency. Ẅe overall thoroughly enjoyed our day. I hope moving forward Omar is more honest about trying to squeeze people together. We would have preferred hearing the truth rather than learning we were both told the same mistrmistrust, we both had booked far in advance. The gesture of lunch was much appreciated in lieu changing from truly solo tour to a group.
