  1. Hai Van Pass

Depends on the weather that we stop at Hai Van pass or Hai Van tunnel - a longest tunnel by mountain of Southest Asia. Hai Van pass is the most famous road in Vietnam, the Pass is a short but scenic route winding around a mountainside above the East Sea, on the central coast. Đèo Hải Vân – Ocean Cloud Pass – is famous for a number of reasons: as a geographic and political boundary between ancient kingdoms; as a climatic divide between the tropical south and the subtropical north; and as a strategic military post during times of war, both ancient and modern. But, most recently, the Hai Van Pass is famous, quite simply, as a great road trip linking the popular central Vietnamese destinations of Hoi An, Danang, and Hue. For Vietnamese and foreign road-trippers alike, the Hai Van Pass is a favourite ride, its fame bolstered by the popularity of the Top Gear Vietnam Special (2008)

Unforgettable trekking experience in Bach-Ma National Park

The trekking tour in Bach-Ma National Park was simply an absolute highlight of our Vietnam trip! The whole organization was excellent – everything worked smoothly from planning to implementation. We were particularly impressed by the beautiful design of the route: varied paths through dense jungle, spectacular views and always small highlights along the way. You immediately notice how much attention to detail has been put into this. Big praise goes to the guides in particular: incredibly friendly, attentive and well prepared. They not only ensured a safe and pleasant tour, but also significantly enriched the experience with their knowledge of nature and surroundings. Overall, a completely successful tour – professional, warm and highly recommended. Anytime again!

Response from the operator: Herzlichen Dank — wir freuen uns sehr über Ihr tolles Feedback! Thank you very much — we truly appreciate your wonderful feedback! Better compare offers.

Massively overpriced, the same tour is much cheaper. The guide was a highlight, cool guy, the park is beautiful and everything worked out. Unfortunately, watching wildlife was only a short walk to a few cages with caged animals. Due to the weather neither bathing was possible nor could the view be properly enjoyed.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your comments about our guide and the beautiful park. We strive to provide a memorable experience, and we’re glad to hear you enjoyed the tour. We understand your concerns regarding the wildlife observation and the weather conditions, which can sometimes impact the experience. We will take your feedback into consideration as we work to improve our offerings. We hope to welcome you back in the future for a better experience!

Nature with marks of war

The national park is worth visiting. The tour, leaving from Hoi An, is quite long: it takes almost two hours between Hoi An and the park. It was an expensive option, but it was the only trekking option in the region. There was some restriction on the offer of tours due to Covid. The guide was great, he gave history lessons. And I had the company of two very friendly Dutch people too. It was a great tour.

Full day: Hoi An - Bach Ma National Park: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.

How much does Full day: Hoi An - Bach Ma National Park cost?

+

Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full day: Hoi An - Bach Ma National Park take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.

Is Full day: Hoi An - Bach Ma National Park worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full day: Hoi An - Bach Ma National Park?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full day: Hoi An - Bach Ma National Park suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Full day: Hoi An - Bach Ma National Park?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full day: Hoi An - Bach Ma National Park start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hoi An?

+

On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hoi An?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
