Awesome Hike in Cappadocia!
Halil was great! This hike was exactly what we were looking for. 15 km of unique trails through 4 different valleys. Going with Halil we learned SO much about the fascinating landscapes, history and the vegetation. We had breaks for fresh squeezed juice and lunch with a great view! Our day ended in town enjoying a glass of wine from Halil’s favourite wine shop. Such a great day!

I wish I could rate...
I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars. Halil is a wonderful guide - really knows his stuff, happy to answer all your questions and share his knowledge. Pickup and dropoff with his partner, Caroline, who was lovely. The hike was well paced, plenty of stops for shade, rest, juice, pictures. Lunch was simple and yummy, just what you need to keep going. Lovely treat at the end with an opportunity to taste local wine, very nice. If you want a proper moderate hike (15 km, +200m/-400m) to explore the region and see and hear about centuries old civilization, local nature and geology, with no nonsense like shopping or tourist stops, this is it! I wish I had more days here, I would spend them all with Halil!
Response from the operator: "Thank you so much for this amazing review! It was a real pleasure hiking with you.Caroline and I are very happy that you enjoyed the pace, the history, and the local wine at the end. We always try to keep our tours authentic and focused on nature, so your words mean a lot to us.I hope you can come back for more days next time so we can explore even more valleys together. Safe travels and best regards!" Halil Erdin.

Hiking Cappadocia with Halil — Our Very Own Indiana Jones
Our full day of hiking with Halil was one of those experiences our family will remember long after our trip to Cappadocia. He led the four of us through valleys where we often felt as though we had the landscape entirely to ourselves, bringing the region to life with stories of its ancient churches and frescoes, local vegetation, Byzantine history, and the people who once lived in this extraordinary landscape. Halil is warm, enthusiastic, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly loves sharing his passion for this fascinating part of the world. By the end of the day, our daughter had nicknamed him “Indiana Jones”—which seemed pretty fitting after hours spent following him through hidden valleys and ancient rock-cut churches. I can’t imagine traveling to Cappadocia without hiking its valleys. Personally, I’d skip the hot-air balloons, horseback riding and quad bikes, lace up your hiking boots, and explore the valleys on foot with an expert local guide. For our family of four adults, a day walking, talking, discovering and learning together with Halil gave us a connection to Cappadocia and its history that we simply wouldn’t have had otherwise.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review. It was a real pleasure hiking and chatting with your family. Tell your daughter I loved the nickname "Indiana Jones"! It made me very happy. I'm delighted you enjoyed the valleys and history of Cappadocia. Thank you for putting on your boots and joining me. I hope to see you again soon. Best regards to the whole family! Your hiking guide Indiana Jones :))

Phenomenal Hiking Tour
Without a doubt one of the best tours I have ever been on . Being a solo traveller can be lonely at times but from the very moment of meeting my guide Halil he made me feel like we were old friends going for a hike. The scenery was absolutely amazing and magical with Halil asking many times to put your imagination into play. The stops for freshly squeezed juice along the way including a refreshing lunch prepared by Halil. Halil is a wonderful guide and you can’t help but be engulfed in the beautiful countryside and the history behind everywhere you walk. Halil has a wicked sense of humour which I absolutely adore, he is very personable! Day finished off with a lovely glass of Turkish Wine. Thank you Halil, the experience was one that will stay with me for a very long time. Great value for money…. I told Halil he was undercharging. Highly recommend ❤️
Response from the operator: "Thank you so much for this wonderful review! It was a real pleasure hiking with you, and I am glad you felt like we were old friends from the start.I really enjoyed our conversations and sharing the history and magic of the valleys with you. Why this scores 80
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full-Day Hiking in Cappadocia: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Uchisar.
How much does Full-Day Hiking in Cappadocia cost?
+
Prices start at $97 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Uchisar usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full-Day Hiking in Cappadocia take?
+
Plan for about 7.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Uchisar is not rushed.
Is Full-Day Hiking in Cappadocia worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 42 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Uchisar, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Hiking in Cappadocia?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full-Day Hiking in Cappadocia suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full-Day Hiking in Cappadocia?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Uchisar can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Uchisar and add a light layer if any part of the 7.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full-Day Hiking in Cappadocia start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Uchisar within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Uchisar?
+
On Outty we rank every Uchisar experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Cappadocia Tour( Red Tour + Underground City ), All-in-One Cappadocia Tour: Combined Red and Green Tour, Cappadocia Red Tour: Göreme, Zelve, Paşabağ & Avanos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Uchisar?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Uchisar?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Full-Day Hiking in Cappadocia?
+
Included: professional hiking guide; Lunch; Snacks; pick up and drop off from the hotel by vehicle; and squeezed orange juice. Not included: special expenses. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

+

What languages is Full-Day Hiking in Cappadocia offered in?
+
