    Good but very Busy

The wall itself is great, the icon you expect . This particular section however is very busy . Tour company well organised and guide very informative .

    Terrible trip.

This is the worst trip I have ever been on. The tour operator told us to be at the pick point at 7am and then turned up at 8pm. The coach was old and the seats were worn and lacked any support. The windows of the coach were filthy and we could not see out of them. The Great Wall was was over crowded and extremely unsafe and unpleasant to be involved with. I would not recommend this trip or provider to my worst enemy.

    A truly wonderful experience

The tour to Badaling started at a meeting point right by a subway exit. It was really easy to find the tour guide. Then, we hopped on the bus and travelled to Badaling. While we were on our way, the tour guide was explaining to us what the plan was and she was giving us suggestions for things to do there. My tour guide for this tour was Samantha. She’s very friendly and knowledgeable. At The Great Wall, the views were astonishing. I highly recommend everyone that comes to Beijing to take this tour to The Great Wall.

Scam and no help to find

Awful. Nothing like the description said when I ordered. I did not get hotel pick up? I did not get to see the Ming tomb and I did not the the Chinese lunch and tea house or jade experience. I did not even get a guide! They talked Chinese for almost an hour and then said that it was not necessary for us to know. This was just a confusing and bad bus ride! And I was not the only one there with the same experience. This was to me a scam and I am so disappointed. I tried calling the hotline (ended up costing me my whole subscription and they just said they couldn’t do anything! What kind of service is that!). And I can’t find what to do online. I am so sad and disappointed. Also if you are deciding which part to take just know that this is very crowded. It might be easier to walk, but I think I would have preferred the other part more.

    Fun!!

It is a must see. It requires walking and to be able to climb stairs. It is wonderful as the weather is also cooler this time of year. The Ming Tombs were also pretty awesome.

Full-Day Great Wall of Badaling: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.

How much does Full-Day Great Wall of Badaling cost?

    +

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full-Day Great Wall of Badaling take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is Full-Day Great Wall of Badaling worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Great Wall of Badaling?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full-Day Great Wall of Badaling suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full-Day Great Wall of Badaling?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full-Day Great Wall of Badaling start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
