    Must do tour in Prague!

This was a highlight of our European vacation. I highly recommend this trip. It was about 20 to 25 miles biking at a leisurely pace our guide Phil was very knowledgeable and experienced. We had a lovely lunch along the path and got to see incredible views of the castle. This is a must do great value for the money.

Response from the operator: Hi Audra, thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice review! We are glad you had a great time, hope to see you again :) Sincerely, Praha Bike Team

    Good day out

Had a good trip to the castle, myself and my friend joined a tour off 5 led by Guide Peter who did a great job off pointing out things off interest and looking after us all. A 32km ride in the beautiful chezch countryside mostly flat and taken at a steady pace would recommend to anyone.

Response from the operator: Dear MArk, Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so glad you and your friend enjoyed the Castle Tour with Peter. It’s great to hear you liked the beautiful countryside, the relaxed pace, and Peter’s guidance along the way. Thank you for your recommendation—we hope to see you again in Prague! 🚴‍♂️😊 Warm regards, Praha Bike Team

    Group tour to Karlštejn castle

I set out to go solo, but glad I didn’t. Small group of 5 with an excellent guide (Mike). Easy pace and beautiful scenery. 40km ride with the train back all included in the price. If you’re thinking of doing it alone it’s doable, but navigation is not straight forward. If you think you can do there and back as I did, hire the bike for 24 hours as it’s a lot to do in a day and you’ll likely miss time at the castle. Guide was informative, really added value to the trip. Manual bike used but ebike available. Easy, flat with exception of 2 small climbs. Great lunch spot, own cost here but very cheap.

Response from the operator: Dear cplamont121, Thank you for your nice review. We are happy that you are satisfied with the tour. Mike will be happy to hear that you had a good experience on the tour. and you can share some details of it. Best Regards Praha Bike Team

    Don't hesitate to book!

Wonderful trip! Susanna is a fantastic, interesting and kind guide. Got an ebike but didn't need it, ride was pretty level. (I'm 58 years old, in good shape but not a cyclist.) Most of the ride was along the river and in the suburban countryside so really relaxing with beautiful scenery. Fun to see Karlstejn castle then and ride the train back to Prague. I booked online before leaving the US and relied on my tour company's info that Euros are broadly used in the Czech Republic. Bad advice, get yourself some Czech Crowns. (Euros are accepted many places but not preferred.) Susanna graciously accepted Euros as a tip anyway. This was the perfect trip for me to get to see a bit of the Czech Republic outside of Prague, without having to be up at the crack of dawn and still be able to be back at the hotel by 5:30 for meeting. Loved getting to move my body after the long flight from SF/USA. Definitely one of the best experiences of my trip, highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you for the great review. It's always nice to read that people are enjoying our tours. Suzanne will be also happy to read it.

Perfect place for Prague bike rental

I stumbled into these guys by accident after a Viator-arranged bike trip to Karlstejn Castle fell apart (note... Karlstejn is typically closed Mondays). I should have gone straight to the source to start with as renting from Praha Bike directly is cheaper and as or more convenient. The patient, friendly, sympathetic service is tremendous: they have lots of available options and fit you to a cycle of your choosing, their advice is absolutely solid, they set you up with a digital and paper route, and remain there for you if you need help after you've rented. (Note: I arranged for my bike in person the day before, and it was all ready to go for me first thing the next morning, but I could have had it that moment had I wanted it.) Two other tips if you go without a guide and decide not to return by train as I did: (1) it's very doable, but leave time for mistakes because the way to Karlstejn is littered with unmarked turns onto side paths as well as bridge and railroad crossings and bike-speed bumps. Not counting the side road to the castle itself, there's also one extremely steep hill to navigate (with speed bumps!) -- I wasn't riding hellbent for leather, but all told, it took me about 2.5 hours to get there and another 2.5 hours back. (2) I can't stress enough how careful you need to be riding in the city proper. The cobblestoned streets and walks are treacherous, and I crashed hard on my return trying to follow traffic instructions and get inside the tram lane after catching my wheel in the rail rut. Thanks to the Praha Bike team for the peroxide and band aids! Cobblestones and trams are infinitely better suited to pedestrians than bicyclists.

Response from the operator: Dear brucef79, thank you for your nice and detailed review. We are glad you enjoyed our service and the bike and thank you for the tips!

Full-Day Countryside Bike Tour to Karlstejn Castle (small group): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.

How much does Full-Day Countryside Bike Tour to Karlstejn Castle (small group) cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full-Day Countryside Bike Tour to Karlstejn Castle (small group) take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.

Is Full-Day Countryside Bike Tour to Karlstejn Castle (small group) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 47 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Countryside Bike Tour to Karlstejn Castle (small group)?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Full-Day Countryside Bike Tour to Karlstejn Castle (small group) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full-Day Countryside Bike Tour to Karlstejn Castle (small group)?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full-Day Countryside Bike Tour to Karlstejn Castle (small group) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Prague?

    +

On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, Prague Essential Tour Old Town and Jewish Quarter. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Prague?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Prague?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
