Transfers around Vic Falls and Kasane

We used Victoria Falls Serious Fun for all our transfers in Vic Falls and Kasane. Marvel (our driver) was fantastic. He was extremely reliable, he communicated with us daily via WhatsApp and was punctual for every transfer. He pointed things out to us and shared all his local knowledge. I did quite a bit of research before arriving and he was definitely the most competitive price wise. I highly recommend their services and would happily use them again.

Response from the operator: Hi Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your experience with Victoria Falls Serious Fun and that Marvel made your transfers smooth and enjoyable. We truly appreciate your kind words about our reliability, communication, and local knowledge. It means a lot that you chose us after your research and found our services competitive. We look forward to welcoming you back to Victoria Falls and Kasane for more adventures in the future! Kind regards

    Chobe 2 nights camping

We did 2 nights in Chobe camping. We had an amazing time in the park, Chobe is beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife. Id definitely recommend the boat trip and game drives. We were on a smaller boat which meant we got closer to the animals. Our kids are 11 and 13 and they loved it. Its particularly suitable for children because you see lots of animals, particularly elephants, giraffes, antelope, buffalo, hippos and crocs. We were also lucky to see lions and a leopard! The camp was good, it was cold at night but the clean bedding kept us warm, the food was good but I'd recommend taking snacks for kids. Facilities were a long drop toilet and bucket shower, which were kept clean. The mats to sleep on were not great but just sufficient. Camp was not in the park, which we'd asked for, but it was still in the bush and we listened to hyena at night! Serious fun tours arranged good support crossing the border from Zim and back again. Beware Botswana want to see children's birth certificates which we didn't have and we were nearly not allowed in, but were lucky to have a friendly official. Also bear in mind there can be long queues at the border, partly because of the complicated Zim visa system. We had to skip the morning game drive on the last day because we had a flight to catch back and realised it was going to take up to 2 hours at the border. The company who provided the game drives was budget, one of their trucks broke down which restricted where we could go one morning until they replaced it, and they tried to combine other peoples different itineraries with ours which was a bit frustrating at times. We did have 1 guide who was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly.

Response from the operator: Hi Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your Chobe camping experience with us. We are delighted to hear that you and your family had an amazing time in the park, enjoyed the game drives and boat cruise, and that your children loved the adventure and wildlife sightings , especially the elephants, lions, and even a leopard! We truly appreciate your honest feedback about the camping conditions and logistics. We understand that mats, facilities, and border processes can sometimes be challenging, and we value your suggestions about snacks for kids and being prepared with birth certificates for smooth entry into Botswana. Your insights will definitely help future travelers prepare better. We also take note of your comments regarding the vehicles and scheduling from our local partner in Chobe. We are already working closely with them to improve reliability and ensure that itineraries match exactly what guests have booked, without unnecessary adjustments. We are very pleased that you still felt well looked after by our team during the border crossings and by the guide you mentioned as excellent. It’s wonderful that despite a few challenges, your overall trip was memorable and full of wildlife encounters. Thank you once again for traveling with Serious Fun Tours and for recommending the experience. We hope to welcome you back in the future for another safari adventure, perhaps with even more comfort upgrades next time!

    Hot day in the park

Service did not check on visa or doc status for everyone in advance of heading to the Botswana border. Along with a long line at the border we had to wait for 2 guest to get the appropriate visa, resulting in us missing over an hour of our game drive. The game drive was great, but we spent so much of our time on the river front where we would be spending the afternoon from the boat. We saw lots of elephants but not many other animals from the Jeep. Lunch was great, while not buffet it was ordered off a menu. The afternoon is where it got worse, the 8 of us were put onto a little dingy type boat with minimal shade. there was water and ice, but we blew through that quickly. Many guest were close to suffering from heat exhaustion due to the lack of shade and the extreme heat. We saw many other big boats that would have been better for our group. Make sure you get the bigger boat or dont get on. Lastly make sure you check your visa requirements and as a company verify visas before boarding the bus in Victoria Falls. It sucks being in a group and having to wait for people who arent able to plan or be prepared when its 40+ outside.

Response from the operator: Dear Seth Thank you for the review. We greatly appreciate this feedback as it helps us improve from time to time. We have taken a note of everything raised. We have resorted to breaking all large groups to small groups in order to have a more personal service. Appareantly this year we have sufferd great spells of heatwave and we surely after this feedback review on how we keep our guests hydrated. Thank you for this insightful feedback. We will definately offer better service to trhis product for our upcoming guests. With thanks

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Victoria Falls.

How much does Full-Day Chobe Safari from Victoria Falls with Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $162 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Victoria Falls usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full-Day Chobe Safari from Victoria Falls with Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Victoria Falls is not rushed.

Is Full-Day Chobe Safari from Victoria Falls with Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Victoria Falls, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Chobe Safari from Victoria Falls with Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full-Day Chobe Safari from Victoria Falls with Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full-Day Chobe Safari from Victoria Falls with Lunch?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Victoria Falls can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Victoria Falls and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Victoria Falls within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Victoria Falls?

    +

On Outty we rank every Victoria Falls experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Tour of the Falls (Zimbabwe side), Zimbabwe & Zambia: Guided Tour of the Falls from Both Sides, Zambezi River Class IV-V White-Water Rafting from Victoria Falls. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Victoria Falls?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Victoria Falls?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
